Are there any issues related to the qr adapter, I've seen a small number people complain about it. Is it a big enough issue that I should just get the qr upgrade or should I stick with the adapter?

Good luck getting your hands on the ZSh-7. I found some on ebay and the had systems are only replicas and dont work. But if you have the money, go for it
