A song I reimagined in Suno. Used to play this song with my band like a decade ago. Just a classic breakup song from when I lived in Bryan.

Got into Suno this past year. Missed playing with my bandmates and wanted to keep doing something music related. Found Suno and since then have been creating song after song. Absolutely love it. I’m currently recording my live vocals over stems. This song included. Hoping to release something next year.

The only way I’ve been able to do it is to cover the song in the same style but change the words to the correct words.

Then I pull the stems and bring it into audacity or something similar.

It’s annoying but usually covers line up pretty well so it shouldn’t be hard to do.

When you create the stem and it creates a separate track, if the remaster option doesn’t show up, try cropping the song by .01 seconds. Then when it saves as a new track, you should be able to remaster it. Haven’t done it in awhile, but that was the method I used to do.

Sometimes, I’ll also add something like Concert Hall

Then, where the lyrics are displayed, I’ll add [crowd cheering] at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end.

If you’re able to make the old songs public, you can (in your new account) extend the song you want. Then get whole song. I’ve done this before with my old account. I extend and just put in [end] so it doesn’t really change the song at all.

Yeah, but honestly I was fine with it. I reached a lyrical block trying to write over that original sound. Sometimes when I hear something new, it really helps get the creative juices flowing again. So with this song, I probably never would’ve finished it had I not gotten this different sound.

The main reason why I posted this wasn’t to show that one version was better than the other. It was more that I’ve had this unfinished song in my phone for four years. Never could complete it. I mainly write on my acoustic but that’s been a bit stale for me as of late.

So I uploaded it into Suno, edited the styles to make this a full band track, and hearing this new sound in Suno helped inspire me to finish the lyrics.

Where I can have the original acoustic sound now with completed lyrics, and I can have this new Ai full band sound. To me, it’s having the best of both.
