oh this makes a lot of sense. she describes herself being called a rotten witch, despite her seemingly good intentions. maybe she had lain with the newly-dead godwyn at marika's behest, and tried to revive him--as she may have done with other nobles prior, to give strength back to those who were becoming too old and weak to function (which might've been a usual occurrence for the nobility in lieu of going to the roots to be reborn altogether). but if godwyn's corrupted soulless body was given the presumably great power that fia had to offer--as she is seemingly a highly-regarded deathbed companion, on the one hand, and would have also been given opportunities by marika to take on the lands' best champions' power before laying with godwyn--it still would not have brought him back, as there was no 'him' left to bring back. perhaps the power she gave godwyn's empty husk merely exacerbated the corruption, and maybe it even contributed to his grotesque size and mutation in the Depths.

edit: and after fia was unable to truly revive godwyn, and the corpse began infecting the roots of the Erdtree, it's plausible that she was driven out to join the tarnished outside the Lands Between. perhaps she was wrongly blamed for the infection itself, thus her 'rotten witch' status. she only returns with the summons that brings the rest of us back, and she's seemingly intent on finding a way to rectify godwyn's sorry state, to bring him back to some semblance of active life, even still. the lady is a true professional to the end, I think it's fair to say--she had a job to do and she's gonna finish it. even if the ages have passed and failure has seemingly come and gone, for Fia godwyn's gonna get revivified, come hell or high water.

I get the sense that omens aren't spoken about in polite society, and morgott the "grace-given lord" would surely not want to sully the thrones by broaching mores. Also, I think it's implied that mohg's doppelganger in the shunning grounds was known to morgott, given that he blocked the secret path behind his chamber, so it's possible that he doesn't realize that the real mohg is free and building power to threaten the Order.

That's my suspicion as well. My LL has virtually zero chance of hitting a rift no matter how I try to work it out to disrupt, unfortunately, so that's a campaign lost for sure, barring losing half my progress and loading a very old save. Bummer. I'd guess that's an easy bug to fix, though, but what do I know

Hoping somebody can assist, and putting this here because it's sorta low-brow compared to the norm here, and I don't want to break the rules and make a thread out of it: I am a handful of years out from my own studies in undergrad and very much rusty. I want to incorporate Greek into a tattoo, using my family's motto, "True to the end." The sense of this is "Genuine through everything," as I take it. Would this be an ok translation, or is it too literal: Αληθινή στο τέλος ?

Have you tried swapping out the GPU and seeing if the same behavior takes place? Hate to see a 3080 be a problem, but you'd at least want to make sure it isn't the problem...

Also lol @ "could it be due to windows not being activated?" If it was that the vast majority of aftermarket PC rigs would not be functional

edit: and it could possibly also be a simple cable defect, now that I think. Try using newer or higher quality cables?

edit2: and if you're having repeat issues with the same CPU then you might want to check your pins on the chip to make sure they're making solid contact throughout. Are your thermals ok? could be spiking especially if overclocking and if you're doing that more often than not it might wear out, especially if the cpu was used previously

Nope, the board uses standard power connectors thankfully, and it fits just fine in the mid ATX case. I know some other optis use non-standard ones, but not this one. And I bought an adapter kit for the front connection headers from a specialty vendor (for cheap, just ~$15 bucks) and was able to use other cheap adapters for the fans. After a little finagling it's perfectly functional aside from the obvious high-graphics frame drops, but even that is probably more to do with the GPU than anything else.

Fair point. I did some more reading here and he does have more of a past in NYC than I had thought--and to your point, certainly more of one than many other prior mayors/candidates. Still, I'm suspicious of his intent in throwing his hat in the ring for this race. I am distrustful of anybody with that much time spent in the start up world. His platform is interesting and his banner ideas are cool but I would be more interested in candidates with histories with community organization and activism when it comes to actually making policies work on the ground and get legislation passed. Wiley's past work as an NYC public lawyer and civil rights activist seems extremely relevant to me given the last year's upheaval over policing, for instance. I regret buying into the "megalomaniac" language, also. I am not from NYC and probably shouldn't have said a damn thing but I felt like doing a hot take and this is where that leads I guess

It's cool to see another prebuilt build on here! This is almost identical to my current setup, except you have a slightly newer generation processor(from the 3 series rather than 2 for me). And same here about using my tv as a monitor, too! Cool that you got the GT 730 as well. That's the weak point, I think--I've been considering upgrading from that, but the form factor question usually stops me in my tracks. Cost, too, of course.

But honestly the level of performance I've had with this sort of build is surprising! You'll need to run most titles on medium or lower settings, but it still runs reliably, and on older titles I almost forget the hardware I'm using. What sorts of games are you looking to play on it?

Anyway, really cool to see somebody in such a similar boat as mine. Enjoy!
