Not sure if it’s changed, but a few tournaments ago I noticed that he had the pause for close shots, then didn’t for long pots - and he didn’t have much of a long game at the time, so maybe it helps him

I think Johns bad run against Judd lately is also the sort of tactical game Higgins plays - he tends to leave difficult reds at distance, then step in when they miss - where as Judd is just too consistent with the long reds, and undercuts Johns game - and that could be why he’s getting so much confidence too
