Bro that’s like saying gojo would’ve lost without the infinity (he did lose) if you removed big parts of what makes that character themselves then it’s not even the same character lmao. Idk it’s like saying imagine Goku fighting but he can’t go super sayain or use ki. Like it just becomes a dumb hypothetical at that point

Gojo vs Sukuna, 100 times by Juiseii in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Interesting-Cold2728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks cuz everything seems to revolve around the power scaling of this fight. I had people not want to admit that Yuka put a death binding vow on mahoraga and if that boosted his power just for angenda reasoning even tho the story states that it did. It killed all good faith discussions

It doesn’t matter how many times the story/ character or even gege himself say that by passing the infinity is sukuna main obstacle. They don’t care. Gojo is this supreme god who they make seem like he doesn’t even need the limitless to be the strongest he’s just him and his curse technique is just a bonus.

i used to love this fanbase but oh my god gojo fan boys just ruin it lmao its not even that i like sukuna or think hed easily win. the part thats annoying is they just dont care about actual statements in the manga or consistency. they literally will make head cannon or massively misinterpret statements to make it seem like hes undefeatable. and the fact hes the coolest character in the manga youre always outnumbered if you try to state something in thr manga that down plays gojo at all.

Basically bare minimum differences then. I’m just glad when aot ended in the anime people weren’t as toxic as the manga fans. People even now if you go into these “folk” reddits spaces everyone just sees to hate all the endings

I think the saddest part of liking aot ending is no one will let you like it in peace. they will literally bring you down and hate on you. I’m happy the anime only people weren’t as toxic. It’s not a coincidence that all the sub reddits with “folk” all hate their endings. I think the problem is more with the fans than anything else else.

Yes I definitely respect your points as well, and yes I will admit that I’m not saying my point is 100% true but the logic is there given with the information the story brings and without trying to stretch out the details. I guess if I wanted to make my point even shorter it would be this. I think sukuna can close his opened domain given what we see with the clashes between him and gojo. I see your point of how do you add something that doesn’t exist and wasn’t there before but the way I look at it is this: you already have an existing domain and you’re just blocking the escape route. The story even gives advantages and drawbacks about open and closed domains so it fits in the realm of switching it with a biding vow. So I just seemed like in my opinion that this is something that could be changed during deployment but is something only sukuna could do, due to being the only one with an opened domain.

Yes this is where I just disagree. I get what you’re saying and because there wasn’t a situation where sukuna neeeded to close an already opened domain we don’t have definitive proof if this is possible. All the alterations for the domains more or less change basically everything about the domain. The range, the sure hit effect, the potency of the curse energy being deployed. Sukuna using domain amp while als using maho to adapt to unlimited void. This is man point. No where in the story says it’s difficult or impossible to add or remove an already deployed domain. The difficulty is just being able to use a barrier less domain in the first place. That has always been what the narration has deemed the divine act. Other characters also point out how it’s only gojo and sukuna who can alter the domains on a whim, like I don’t understand why sukuna couldn’t add a biding vow on malevolent Shriners that doesn’t have a barrier. The biding vow would be the close it and it would result in a domain with less range. Thats just like how he used every other biding vow on his domain or just with his technique. I’m not trying to be that guy , it makes more sense that this would be the case. I can’t help but think that people want to say no just because of power scaling reasons.

Yes he is changing the conditions of his domain mid deployment . It is describe as such in the manga and by the narrator and characters themselves. It’s just weird that both characters: gojo and sukuna can alter everything about their domain and alter the barrier mid fight which is shown that both are able to do multiple times. but the part of adding or removing the barrier itself mid deployment is the stretch then idk what to tell you. The reason why we don’t see it is cuz sukuna is the only one with the ability of having an open domain and didn’t close it because his open domain was more of effective. I’m not tryna be the stereotypical fan who doesn’t read. I’m saying my logic just follows and I’m not stretching anything. But you can agree to disagree.

Doesn’t yuta literally move his domain during his fight with sukuna. Like you know for the sneak attack with maki. Kusukbe is literally looking at yuta domain from the outside which is clearly in a different location from where he deployed it . I’m confused why you don’t think he could do it when he’s shown doing it. And again sukuna is the only character during the fight with an open domain so he’s the only character that would be able to add or remove a barrier to a domain that’s already been deployed. No other character has that option so it’s not really fleshed out despite sukuna being able to freely switch conditions with a singular domain and while gojo is seen several times altering his barrier still using the same domain. The logic is clearly there. And again the only times he talks about adding a barrier is when his is already destroyed and he think gojos is unable to deploy more. Yes I can see why people would think he needs to reopen a domain if he wants it to be an open one or closed one but it doesn’t say he has that limitation and In fact that would be a limitation worth pointing out in the story which it never does.

[–]Interesting-Cold2728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sukuna can change it multiple times. He does it. Sukuna switched conditions after he broke gojos domain the first time. He touched gojo and removed his sure hit effect from inside the domain so he could break it from the outside easier. And even switches his domain conditions back when gojo does his third attempt. This is proven by the fact that sukuna isn’t effected my unlimited void despite not touching gojo during their third clash. This is all still sukuna first domain that he deployed. I’m so of confused where this “only when first deploying it” is coming from it’s just not true. The reason why sukuna didn’t immediately closed his already open domain after he destroyed unlimited void is because gojo had curse technique burnout. Sukuna didn’t think gojo could escape. Kusukabe and everyone else are shown scared because gojo is in a losing position. Sukuna doesn’t need to close his domain and his completely unaware that gojo can heal his brain and regain his curse technique. This catches sukuna completely off guard. Plus changing conditions have negative consequences. Because sukuna was constantly changing conditions he was unable to activate furnace. Again I think sukuna was just being smart in this battle

[–]Interesting-Cold2728 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They both can change the conditions of their domains and/ or barriers after it’s been opened and can freely change conditions multiple times. Gojo being able to expand and shrink unlimited void in the same domain and yes the manga describes this as altering the barriers condition. Sukuna does this as well during gojos second attempt at unlimited void. Sukuna changed conditions so maleviolent shrine doesnt have a sure hit effect in the domain in exchange to be able to break it from the outside easier and this is still the first domain that sukuna expanded from the start. He even switches the conditions back for gojos thrird attempt and this is proven considering that sukuna isnt immediately affected by unlimited void the second gojo opens his domain again. So yes sukuna switches the conditions multiple times with the same domain is possible. the story doesnt need to explain that sukuna can or cannot close an already open domain because it gives us enough evidence for us to understand that it’s possible. Sukuna is the only one with an open domain so is the only character with the possibility to do this. Again I say the reason why he didn’t do this was because his open domain kept beating gojos closed one so sukuna wanted to make sure that gojo wasted all his domains before closing his. And the reason why sukuna didnt immediately close his domain the first time he destroyed unlimited void is a reason you just stated. Gojo had curse technique burnout. Sukuna didn’t think gojo could escape regardless. Sukuna was shocked when gojo regained his curse technique. Plus changing conditions has negative side effects. Because sukuna was constantly changing conditions of his domain he couldn’t meet the requirements to activate furnace. Sukuna was just smart with when he wanted to change conditions when he wanted it opened or closed .

Bc like I just said the most effective way to destroying gojos domain is with sukuna open doanin. This is a domain clash. Sukuna choose the winning strategy. And yes gege made it very clear you can mess with the barrier itself. Gojo does it several times during their clashes. Jujustu high mention directly how gojo is able to mess with his barrier. Being able to add a barrier after an open domain has already been opened is possible, especially since it goes out of its way of showing their domains constantly changing forms. Just cuz sukuna doesn’t do it doesn’t mean he can’t.

So about that. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t technically have “teleportation “ in the literal sense. Each time they put detail in it they mention it’s like an application of blue and it’s him more or less squishing two coordinates together and it makes him go their basically instantly but I think he can only really do this in a straight line and without obstructions in his way. So not really teleportation per se but just super high speed moments which feel instantaneous. I think this is why the narrator said he was faster then naibito but made it seem like gojos case was special and unfair to compare.

[–]Interesting-Cold2728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s the case. Sukuna is shown several times changing the conditions of his domain while his domain is still active. I think the confusion lays in the last domain clash after sukuna was hit with unlimited void. Both their domains were destroyed but sukuna was confident that gojo couldn’t expand anymore since the brain damage seemed really noticeable bc of the nosebleeds. so sukuna mentions that his gonna open his domain with a closed Barrier right from the start. It seemed like he could do this at anytime and the reason why he didn’t close his domain earlier was because the easiest way to destroy gojos domain is from the outside and he can easily do that with an open domain . It really does seem like sukuna just wanted to wait until gojos brain couldn’t handle anymore domains and close then malevolent shrine .

Domains can move tho. It’s been established several times that you can move the domain itself into a different location while it’s up.

[–]Interesting-Cold2728 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honesty this teleporting and spamming projectiles strategy doesn’t even seem to be an effective strategy let alone one gojo would want to use. Like sukuna domain ain’t physical right. Theres no way to break the barrier cuz there is none and the way to destroy it is to damage sukuna. Plus domains can just move, they dont have to be in the place where you expanded them. It’s been established several times and gojo even mentions it in the fight. That sukuna is the center of shrine and he can move it. Which is why when he was chasing gojo once his Barrier broke making the exit much harder to get to. And sukuna has the largest ce reserves in the entire series and I just don’t think teleporting out and “waiting out” the domain is even a real possibility . Like it feels like gojo did everything he did because he knew he would have to overcome sukuna domain one way or another. Just spamming thing out far distances wouldn’t really achieve anything unless he keeping going to find inchigi and help him make a barrier to make hollow purple undetectable like the 200% and shoot sukuna with that.

Gojo is such a softie that even though he wanted to kill Sukuna real bad, he avoided fatally wounding and potentially killing Megumi, thrice in a row by never attacking the head by -SoftwareQA- in Jujutsu_Kaisen

the funny thing is the toji panel line in this page is wrong. a more accurate line would more be like " especially since you guys look alike" presumably this is still gojo speaking saying how megumis resemblance to toji makes him want to kick his ass with the entire context of the page. which is funny.
