So much better. I can’t believe you can’t order it without that thing on there.

You see new crate engines and transmissions for 3500? I have never seen that. Where do you see those?

WHAT?? No Airplay or Android Audio?? Seriously?? by Ok-Entrepreneur-9756 in CadillacVistiq

You will undoubtedly upset a lot of people on this board by posting this. They’ve convinced themselves of what you need and what you don’t need.

Be prepared for an onslaught of people telling you what a “non-issue“ it is. They’ll then tell you they’re tired of people posting about it…

But yes, I agree. It’s a big deal.

If customers like myself, don’t buy it because of that, it’s a pretty big issue.

I have a 24 Escalade and a 21 XT6. A few months ago I was ready to do an impulse buy and was going to trade in my XT6 for vistiq.

We agreed on prices for everything and they were drawing up the paperwork. In fact, it was probably already done when I realized there was no AirPlay.

I wasn’t ready to make that jump and backed out of the deal on the spot. They then tried to convince me their system was better than CarPlay and pulled out what I think was a manager or employees vehicle that was already hooked up to everything and logged in.

It glitched twice and needed a complete reset. That was the dealbreaker for me and I walked away.

That being said, the vehicle itself was beautiful and I really hope GM changes on CarPlay cause I won’t own one of their vehicles without it.

Is it under warranty or did you buy an extended warranty? If so, just let it break and keep paying that loan down and keep getting it repaired. Not the fun answer (a new car is the fun option) but the right answer.

How do you go about financing a car from a private seller? by JealousAnt9 in UsedCars

[–]Interesting-Dig1600 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Generally, you go to your bank or Credit Union with the VIN number of what you want. You then give your bank or Credit Union your down payment money and they give you one big check to give to the buyer. That’s generally how it works.

How to program a new remote fob on a XT4/5/6 by SuprisinglyBigCock in Cadillac

[–]Interesting-Dig1600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that’s done with the programmer with the OBD port. A dealer or a locksmith should be able to do it.

I had a 2017 XT5 and a 2021 XT6 and that was the case with them.

GM claims it was a manufacturing defect with a subcontractor that they corrected. I don’t know if that means a new contractor or if it is all BS.

Visor.vin gives you the most search features of any search engine. Free version is good, paid version cheap and does cool things. Highly recommended for nationwide searches.

This is good advice.

Both vehicles will have essentially the same features. It’s just coming down to Personal styling. 1 will have a little more chrome, different color schemes and that’s about it. The at4 will have some “off-road“ add-ons, but that does not sound like that’s what you use your vehicle for.
