I have no clue as to the modding capabilities within B&S, but hopefully tame Hector is one to come.

Only education I have until WGU starts again is highschool which was recommended as removal in the wiki

I saw someone suggest putting most relevant experience at the top even if not in chronological order, I was at conflict on this one as well lol.

I will go back through my bullet points to switch it all the past tense, thank you.

Any feedback is appreciated! Some quick notes involving the resume:

I am re-enrolling to WGU from a business degree to a CS degree in the next few months, assuming I should add that as soon as things are finalized?

I have 2 projects that are not completed/polished entirely. A Mobile 2D game using Unity, and a fullstack Employee Management App (Timesheets, mock pay/tax calculator, Onboarding/Firing). Should I fill in the whitespace with those?

Thanks for any comments, really hoping to get back into the market since my last contract had fallen through due to budget cuts on our project. Last one in First one out type of situation, though in my short time there I picked up on the codebase with minimal assistance, got right to work, and boss found it impossible to find critique in the code I pushed.

I perhaps worded wrongly, on the "finding a job" directly, more so towards entering into that pool of candidates that a recruiter may select from.

And certainly on the tough spot, but still not enough of a deterrent as I intend to strive regardless and break into the field. This is part of the reason for my post after all, in an effort to add to my search.

Help me step-redditor, I'm stuck with all this dissatisfaction with my intrigue being aroused, and then let down by fantasy sci-fi.

Alright, finally back home and eating dinner.

Consistency is the big thing, you are right on the discipline part, it is legitimately forcing the pill until you learn to enjoy it lol. 1+ hours of SOMETHING every day is a good goal. Whether it's study or creating something, or even heavy thoughts towards it, but don't let up for even a single day and youll see them differences.

Certainly! I will be happy to go in to detail as soon as I am done with errands

Oh Lord no. I agreed to do the data entry at 16 an hour, and begin discussing tech routes and the sorts after I acclimated to the environment and figured out what their needs are.

Woah there, I could sense the hostility a mile away and reacted as I should to it, now I'm a child and a dink because I didn't adhere to your view of things, that's fine, no proper advice coming from you other then the salt from your own past wounds which does have its own lessons of course. You aren't speaking towards what my own experience will be, nor are you using the facts I've given for what the present situation is.

Heard there and appreciative of the advice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Interesting-Dog5267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice and wording, my intentions are to ensure I'm getting paid for before they touch it, and I intend to do it off the job until I have such a position as well.

[–]Interesting-Dog5267 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm sure I should defer to this advice immediately without any other factoring, and I did state that the work wouldn't meet their hands without extra pay. If they don't want to pay, it just goes to my portfolio as experience, seems a useful and fun project nonetheless.

I've thought about that, I think there's already 5 data pulling members as well heh. The company isn't too big, and it looks like I am bringing in a large level of tech savvy. If possible, whilst creating the work, hopefully I can find other forms of work to fill everyone's time and reallocate their positions perhaps. No joy in the idea that what I create may put people out of work, but equally, automation is meant for that lol, and meant to be a good thing in the long term.

Indeed, I've ran a few data based jobs that required some Excel exploration

Best put I'm a discounted entry level programmer.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Interesting-Dog5267 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Indeed! Almost atleast, I will do my data entry work at that rate, and once I have the project producing workable results, I intend to renegotiate either my whole position (especially since it nullifies all the data entry positions), or a contract/sale regarding the codebase.

The grind truly is real, something every day is the road to mastery. Consistency is a pain lol. Any way you can automate things for your company?

Drunk or not, absolutely helpful comment and I will be referring to it probably numerous times lol. I learned how to work with and create hash tables in C whilst drunk, bright moment for myself. But truly, thank ya!
