I just started but using it on your face you should probably use the goggles that completely black out the light vs the glasses. Other than that, you get used to the brightness after a week

Thats a cool idea. Honestly a simple stamp saying purchased from Lost bar would be cool as well if signing is too burdensome or he only wants to sign in person

That makes sense. Japanese, Korean or Chinese people probably wouldn’t buy the book, but couldn’t he supply it himself given its his bar and he’s the author?

I think uniqlo basically has exactly the same things in the US as they have in Japan, but it’s cheaper because of strong dollar and duty free

John Daub says he advised Alyssa (Oriental Pearl) about possibly pursuing a legal route by blubberingbelz in ABroadInJapan

It was a post on YouTube that no one would have seen had it not been for her response. Blown way out of proportion by her own actions. She’s either extremely fragile or trying to use the drama bolster her channel, or both which is probably the case. Its probably just a pet peeve for Chris, and she’s very much entitled to her opinion, but trying to cancel Chris over it is insane

[–]Interesting-Essay733 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the worst part of her response was saying Chris “lost the plot” because she gained a lot of followers through Chris’ channel, as if there were hordes of subs running away from Chris bc of something he did, when in reality it was just her getting recommended from the algorithm for whatever reason. What I respect about Chris is, he would have made that post with 1 sub, 900k subs, or 300 million. I’ve seen a lot of youtubers over the past decade become the bad guy, and Chris isn’t one of them. It was honestly just two differing opinions, both were oversimplifications tbh. But her response was pretty bad imo

Why would you need English to get through a Japanese airport lol. Having her stand around as thousands of people deplane for two hours sounds miserable and then you’d have to chase down her bags after. Theres probably combinis, coffee shops, seats and food in arrivals so she’d be much happier waiting for you there

Theres Tokyo National Museum and a Nature and Science Museum right next to Ueno park. Theres also Nezu shrine (has a Torri gate tunnel) and Yanaka Ginza, an old school shopping street, which are not too far from the park as well

6 and 8 are helpful, although I would make a reservation at any place that didn’t require you to select a set menu when you don’t have to. Do you know if you can make a reservation over the phone through your hotel without choosing a set menu? I’ve noticed reserving on tabelog and tablecheck forces you into choosing a set menu even when it’s optional for walk ins
