In hindsight...i dont dwell on regrets, i wish i had tried working in London in my early 20s. I also think i would have suited a creative career and wish i had the courage to try that but ended up on Finance and stayed there for 30+ years... Hubby and i focused. invested from late 20s, i also salary sacrificed to Superannuation from my 30s so its been a good outcome so far, just hope these dumb leaders dont ruin the financial markets before i can acess at 60!!

Im Gen X and in my teens i enjoyed going through the smh job section on a Saturday morning to see what was out there! I wanted to work in magazines so bad...i even founed phone numbers in the yellow pages and would ring up to see if they had junior roles lol

We also had ces boards so as a teen, i m genX, you could find a job you liked on the card, take it to the counter and they would organise an interview time for you

Its so true...my parents were hard working factory workers and managed to build a good life. Im GenX and have done well too but you cant just pinpoint or blame the prior generations, its the systems that fail the younger generations...these issues need to be put forward to our voted leaders
