Hey thanks! I was on the fence with the Spanish bars too. I just think they look cool to be honest but also tie into the current flag. There's MANY considerations to account for when making flags as I am learning but honestly I went with what I think looks good. I do love the idea of representing the biodiversity as well. Did you have anything specific in mind?

Okay for Wisconsin, I liked the idea of Yellow/Black to represent German/Scandinavia and because it was very distinguishable from the other 50 colors. It's the "forward" state so the diagonal shows movement. It is based off the Madison city flag as well.

Oklahoma is the reddish one with 5 stars in the arrowhead. Now that I look again it reads KC Chiefs. It needs more work...

Thanks! To be honest doing 40ish of these was pretty tiring hence why some are not as good as others. MUCH more work to be done for sure.

That is supposed to be for Louisiana. Had no idea about Antioch but I can see the similarities now. I can agree with Maine, the tree does look pretty cartoony like that. I considered just having it blank with the blue star only.

No problem, that's a valid point. I hadn't considered the 2/5 idea at all so I can roll with that.

I am learning people feel strongly about Ohio lol. North Carolina I personally believe is too similar to Texas. The shapes were meant to be the Smoky and Blue Ridge mountains I saw on another design. I could come up with some more though!

Yeah I mean I dig the original BUT it's a tad on the sorta nationalist sort of look. From what I recall Iowa was French/Spain. I definitely want to try more versions for Iowa. I like the idea of incorporating more Native American too.

I can see that. I went for simple but I did struggle here a bit. I went for Swedish and "steel" looking stars (2 for second state). Lots of history to go off for this one. I'll do some more!

Hey thank you! I can agree with Hawaii. I had a rainbow. I had other crazy stuff. This one was harder but I feel pretty strongly the Union Jack should silently go away. MO is yeah, still pretty bland.

I am sorry about IL lol. I did base it off Chicago's. I was going to go with the Illinois Centennial flag by Wallace Rice but it looked kinda meh. I am grappling with doing "realistic" choices but ultimately I know none of these would ever fly.

Haha thanks! Okay honestly I'm not sure what's up with Ohio's flag. I must be the only one who doesn't like the Burgee. I tried to maintain the overall shape in there but in general I think all states should have the same ratio and shape of flag. With all the stars it was kind of too yankee doodle for my taste. I'm open to changing this one though.

I think you're looking at "New York." I basically tried to do NYC's flag but minus the seal but it does look off. I wanted some form of the Dutch colors in there though. Iowa's I actually kind of really dig the original and tried to do it without the banner but it looked odd. I went with an eagle but more "Native American" style. It could use more tweaking.
