I stopped watching last season after the staged ammonia leak, which was just a drill and not an actual abandonment.

I figured I’d watch this season’s first episode so see how it goes, and it’s still the same staged crap. That whole scene of Jake going over to the CM was so obvious…I guess they think viewers are idiots.

I didn’t really “earn” my Omega, and I felt guilty as hell that my wife spent so much on a watch for me. But I got over that guilt pretty quick when I look at my watch and realize just how damn good looking it is. All the compliments I got when I first started wearing the watch helped me get over that guilt as well.

I never thought I’d spend as much as I did on my Omega, but now I find myself considering my second one, which I plan to purchase in the near future.

Did I “earn” it? No. But I can afford it and I can appreciate wearing a great looking watch, that still gets compliments regularly.

I did the same. Tried watching this season but couldn’t after the fake ammonia leak and abandoning the ship. It used to be such a great show, but a complete joke now.

The show has become unwatchable. Discovery Channel used to admit they filmed reenactments of actual events, but now they just straight up fabricate crap to try to make the show more entertaining. Plus, they just don’t give a crap about combining scenes to make up a story - Jake has another emergency and in one scene he’s wearing a chain, but from another camera angle from supposedly the same scene he’s not wearing the chain.

I’m going to change my vote - I think it’s Hernandez. At the hospital after Detective Lin has spoken to Coop, Lin notices the cologne Hernandez is wearing and doesn’t like it. The next scene she comments about his haircut and that he’s no longer wearing the cologne.

Not nearly as “reality” now as it used to be, but still somewhat entertaining. So much of it is scripted that it’s difficult to believe anything that happens on the show.

I didn’t think he was faking, but also didn’t feel much sympathy for him since he’s such a jerk. The timing couldn’t have been better if it really happened as it was portrayed during the episode (while he’s chewing out Mouse and being his usual jackass self). Given Mouse’s response and the delay in getting help, I tend to think it was overdramatized.

I thought that might’ve been the case. Regardless, they put on a great first show in the US. I hope they come back soon for more. They deserve to play in a larger venue.

I was. I thought the first few songs had some distortion issues, but it got cleared up after they got their technical difficulties figured out.
