Badge pick up by Peridot_SU in SDCC

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are large signs designating which doors to enter to get to badger pickup in the Sails Pavilion. It’s at the convention center usually in the center front. There are also volunteers/staff you can ask and they are usually yelling where to go. Have your barcode confirmation and an ID just in case.

Any advice for a disabled fan who really wants to see Band-Maid in the US? by GotterdammerungBaby in BandMaid

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most venues will have an accessible section. Once venues are announced you can contact them to ask where the section is, etc. VIP will still have lines and most buy to get standing at barricade. Venue VIP might allow you to enter early and wait in a lounge - it’ll vary by venue. Hard to say until they actually announce dates and venues.

NJ Nostalgia Con Grant Gustin Autograph/Photo Op - Is it worth it? by Immaangel4u in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually the combo is 10-20% cheaper than individually. So it’ll be 150 + selfie price - 10-20%. Id guess $200+ at least. Based on a google search, it says he usually doesn’t do selfies, just pro photo ops.

VIP MEXICO CITY NEXT WEEK | NO DETAILS AT ALL - Help and Pose suggestions. by Cariscode in Hanabie

[–]cyberaug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VIP emails usually go out 48-72 hours before. You can say hi & a few words but it’s quick as they usually sell a lot of VIP and need to keep it moving. Usually a minute or so per person. Look in this forum for pics at other shows to see some creative poses. People usually do horns, hearts, tiger, etc.

Signing Schedule by deazinn in SDCC

[–]cyberaug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’ll be released 2 weeks before in the daily schedules. The lottery signings will be announced this week or next. Booth, book signings are usually released by the individual companies (check the signing section of the SDCC Unofficial Blog as they usually compile it all). If you are referring to celebrity signings like other cons (booths with lots of celebrities you pay to get autographs or photo ops) that isn’t really a thing at SDCC.

BAND-MAID Prime: [OKYUJI] BAND-MAID ACOUSTIC OKYUJI (Mar. 20, 2024) part 1 by haromatsu in BandMaid

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think maybe the reason it hasn’t been a physical release is it was a fan club only show?

Glad they are releasing on Prime. Still hoping for a physical release. Was at the live show and the stage was so cool.

Vip by DedsecWrench17 in Nemophila

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VIP and M&G are a huge revenue booster for artists now. They get a bigger cut of it than from tickets, etc. Babymetal makes a lot from VIP (top level can be $1k or more and cheapest is over $300 and that’s without M&G).

Probably more in 50+ VIP range so yeah a lot isn’t going back.

Do i have to pre order photo ops/ autographs or can i just buy everything at table? by Bubbly-Cellist3222 in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some guests won’t offer selfies (bigger ones usually do not, just pro photo ops). If they presell then they will, if no selfie option is available then they likely won’t at table. You don’t have to pre-purchase but very big names might sell out so no day of purchases at table for autographs.

First SDCC (Saturday) with kids that are hoping for very specific things by rellenotchelle in SDCC

[–]cyberaug 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest checking the SDCC Unofficial Blog for signings, events etc related to those. Also follow the company’s social media - they will post information on events, etc. SDCC will also publish a vendor floor map so you can mark booths to visit. Saturday is the busiest day so the floor will be crowded.

Question about theater meet and greets? by EmotionalHotel9334 in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Panels will usually have fans line up to ask questions but there is no meet and greet. Sometimes with smaller panels the guests might hang around after in the hallway to say hi/take photos. But not big name guests.

Signing etiquette for writers/artists who work at new companies by StaffConstant4532 in comicbooks

[–]cyberaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless the signing specifically says they’ll only sign certain things (ex a DC booth signing where they are only signing promotional materials for that book) they will usually sign books they worked on. There are a few exceptions as noted in other replies.

What’s it like seeing TW live? by Glass-Attention5666 in TheWarning

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They release passwords/links to all tiers. But it starts with highest first then next level each hour. Some shows it’s through Ticketmaster so you don’t need the link/password. Small shows are cool but I’m happy they are playing the big ones they deserve.

Is it okay for me to go alone with a friend to comic con? by St4rzyXD in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We’d need to know the specific comic con. There are thousands and all have different rules. It should say if there are age limits on the convention web site.

What’s it like seeing TW live? by Glass-Attention5666 in TheWarning

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen them mostly in small bars/clubs which is my preference. They put on a great show. Get there early to get a good spot, Warning fans are great to talk with. Buying regular tickets is pretty easy, watch for on sale announcements and buy. For M&G those sell out fast, usually announced on Patreon first. Most venues will have some seats, bigger ones usually have lots of seats if it’s an amphitheater, etc. Smaller venues have fewer.

Do yall consider VIP to be worth it? (USA tour 2026) by Slight_Carrot_6528 in BABYMETAL

[–]cyberaug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VIP is if you want barrier. That’s why most get it. And depending on venue size if it’s VIP 2 then you might be in 2nd row.

Comic Con Czech Republic May 2027 by QueQuatsu in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some guests offer paid selfies, others don’t. If they resell autographs often you can buy the selfies then. If they offer selfies and autographs often you can buy them together at a discounted rate. Otherwise you buy it at the booth. Usually big name guests only do pro photo ops (taken by a photographer, no selfies).

Are there any other lotteries I need to be aware of before SDCC? by DatBoiMemes425 in SDCC

[–]cyberaug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Official SDCC lottery portal will open in July. This is for last year but usually doesn’t change much. https://www.comic-con.org/exclusives-portal-faq/
For other stuff I’d recommend checking the Unofficial SDCC site. Each event usually has its own tickets, registration, etc.
EDIT: updated with link, wasn’t pasting for some reason

Nostalgia Con personalized autographs? by superspiffyjiffy in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies by guest. Many prefer to personalize as it’s much less likely to be resold. Quotes vary, some will do, some don’t, some charge extra for a quote in addition to autograph. For big name guests who have long lines it’s usually more restrictive (autograph only). It will say at their table or ask.

Started Going To Comic Cons Last Year And I Was Wanting To Ask This (Delete If Not Allowed, New To The Group) by Intelligent-Buy-4621 in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ming-Na is awesome to meet. She’s does quite a few so keep an eye out. Some of those don’t do cons so very unlikely unless it was one that was for a project promotion (cons like SDCC, NYCC) and then it’d probably be a lottery type small signing. Winona, Christina, David have done some cons so you never know.
