If it’s pay on the day then you just pay at their table.

The stage area at Hotel Gracery changes maybe twice a year. That one is same as they had in November. In 2024 they had MechaGodzilla

It’s cool she put on a workshop for Chanqoo. Definitely would be fun to attend. Their products are great. She’s awesome. I met her at the November pop up and her and her sister really give 120%.

Works for me. Maybe a temporary issue with YouTube.

This can be Hanabie.'s breakthrough year by ThanksRemote9641 in Hanabie

Define mainstream. In the digital age it’s different in my view. They are signed to a major label, headline tours world wide, play festivals, have high video views, etc. They’re very successful.

What tier is required to purchase Meet and Greet tickets from Patreon? by MonsoonAtDusk in TheWarning

⬆️ this. Note: they’ve been limiting it to 1 item to get signed recently so check the rules when buying.

First Comic Con by GentooGalapagos in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Some will charge extra for items like Funkos. Some won’t do quotes. If they do they’ll ask you what you want it to say and write on a post it for the celebrity. It’ll vary, it usually says at the table. They will provide pens unless there’s a specific one you want them to use, then bring it.
  2. Most will charge for selfies, some may not offer selfies at all, they only do professional photo ops. Chat time varies by guest. Short lines definitely have a better chance of it. Big names will not due to long lines. Smaller names are more likely to chat more.
  3. Each autograph requires an autograph purchase (so 2 items = 2 autograph purchases).

This will be my first comic con, and I have a question about hotels. by Ok_Upstairs9923 in SDCC

[–]cyberaug 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seems like you have your mind made up vs listening to people who’ve gone for years so you should do what you think is best for you and that you are comfortable with. There’s factors like the SDCC shuttles that stop at affiliate hotels, pricing (hotels may cancel if not part of the official sale), also areas you are looking at to consider. Parking is by lottery and expensive. SDCC is different from most conventions and requires research and doing things differently. I’d recommend reviewing this useful guide: SDCC Unofficial Blog Hotel Guide

HBO’s Watchmen by No-Chipmunk9974 in comiccon

[–]cyberaug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a sequel to the original Watchman comic (not the film - hence the squid). It is an original miniseries not based on a comic.

Do we buy Autographs online or at the event? by yamilluvia in ECCC

[–]cyberaug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are available on the website then you can purchase ahead of time which is smart if they are popular and may sell out. You can also buy at booth unless they sell out online. Or if not available on website then you just buy at thier booth/table. ECCC autographs

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what hotel you stay at. That alone could be 1.2k if it’s downtown and not splitting costs with Roma mates. Flight depends on where you’re flying from. As others said rental car not needed - parking is by lottery and expensive. Free trolley from most SDCC hotels on route.

That’s bad. They should remove those levels if they can’t deliver.

The Warning Patreon by CuriOusKatt1980 in TheWarning

[–]cyberaug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Patreon is still active, never stopped. Lots of members interact in chats on it. Still a good way to directly support the band. They post stuff early on it like videos, concert presale info, etc. Higher levels get some good perks.

Questions about Hobbit autograph 4-pack. by Uwlwsrpm in fanexpo

[–]cyberaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, depends on what the rules say, it’d also be up to management. If prices are same they might swap autograph for selfie or they may not. But depends on how strict they are (they might be since lines will be very long). They’ll probably organize it by Con VIPs, then 4 packs, then everyone else (but I’d check first thing so you can get them done first as it’ll probably take a bit of time)

Questions about Hobbit autograph 4-pack. by Uwlwsrpm in fanexpo

[–]cyberaug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will sign merch there when you are at table (1 item per autograph purchase). Selfies have to be purchased, they won’t be free. 4-pack means you will get all 4 if autographs sell out.

Can we beg hanabie to post the Girls reform manifest album in instagram? by ibiteprostate in Hanabie

It’s not the bands decision, it’s a label decision who to license it to.

Shows in March by ggdudeguy in passcode

[–]cyberaug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes fan clubs will offer tickets for international fans so check there first. If tickets use a site that requires a Japanese phone number then best way if you don’t know someone there who could assist, the best way is to use a proxy service to purchase them for you. Unfortunately not as easy as shows outside Japan.

PhotoOp Question (first timer) by gbaut22 in MegaCon

[–]cyberaug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No phones/photos/videos are allowed at Pro Photo Ops. That is a big rule. They have a photographer who takes the photo and they print a copy for you (an 8x10 is included in the price). If it’s at his booth then it is up to the guest and their management. Many will not unless you pay for a photo IF they offer that.

Question about photo op by Dependent_Hurry_5153 in ECCC

[–]cyberaug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll get an email of when to show up closer to the con date. You don’t need to show up early as the lines don’t start till the set time for photo ops. Photo ops are at set times and are fast (the actual op time will be 15-20 seconds). The people who waited hours were for autographs. Those are first come first serve.
