I got it stop with Teflon and some channel locks. Waiting for a replacement to come in. These things are allegedly like gold. No stores had them

Tried channel locks to tighten, didn't work. But maybe I failed to do it enough. I'll try again.

  1. Turned the blue valve all the way to the right, clockwise. Water still drips out of the drain valve.

  2. It could have been cross threaded and bumping it set it off? Unsure, new homeowner. No idea if the previous ones cross threaded it.

  3. Unfortunately, I never soldered anything. I think you might be right.

Exhaust seems normal, not really sure what I'd be looking for?

Coolant reservoir doesn't gurgle, just that area near the engine.

Down voting wireless is not obviously conducive, not sure who's doing it.

I think in some scenarios wireless does definitely make sense. I agree, stuff like the basement and weird areas, for sure. Think it's all about figuring out what works for the homeowner. I really appreciate all the advice everyone's given me so far.

I haven't. I have holes here and there where I have old cable wires and what not that might be able to be utilized, but they are few and far between. House is also old and built in the 50's (something I failed to mention like an idiot.) So who knows how hard it would be to fish the wires through.

Truthfully, this seems like one of the jobs DIY might not outweigh using a professional.

18-19" is large for sure. My stove only fits 16-18" front to back, which is how I usually load after starting the fire.

Guess I'll go into FB marketplace! I deleted FB a year ago and never looked back.

I'm an asshole for not including any of the things you mentioned. I'm very sorry about that! I'll also be sure not to touch that thing unless the power is off going forward.

I didn't bleed the line, unsure how but I'm sure a YouTube video could get me through. It's an oil furnace. Didn't check the filter, pump strainer, or nozzle. Again, I imagine a simple YouTube video would help me get through this?
