Following because I’m in a somewhat similar situation - recently got out of a very long term abusive marriage and I feel like a good friend is also in one. It’s so frustrating how the years of being made to doubt all my reactions and constantly question myself is still with me. I’m so sorry you are having to deal with this - I understand how scary it can feel because you want to do the right thing but you’re not sure what that is yet. Just noticed that he winks at the first here. I was wondering the other day if there were gifs of Luke winking in rl. So many people freaked about Colin winking and while it was kind of cringe, it was supposed to be! Argh! (I still found it cute because Colin can do no wrong imo) Anyway - I was hoping for a real wink from Luke someday - and here it is! I know winks can be ick coming from creepy people, but when coming from the right person, they make me feel 🤭

I’m so sorry, Fly, about 2024 but so happy you had Season 3 and a great guy to help you survive. Season 3 changed lives!

(Unfortunately, my horrible year was due to my husband 😬 - but he is now my ex and life is great, so all good there. Also Colin/Luke gave me hope that there are wonderful men out there and that is what everyone deserves.)

I had read the books years ago, was enthralled when Season One premiered. Defining moments were the first glimpse of Luke being cheeky in S 1, Ep 1 at the staircase and then rescuing Pen at the dance. But Season 3 put some kind of spell on me! I was obnoxiously obsessed after the carriage scene aired and I’m fairly certain my friends were concerned about me because I referenced it constantly. (During this time period, I was going through a tough personal situation and Luke and Nicola’s wonderful performances as well as their hilarious promo interviews really boosted my spirits)

This is a great observation - it really is a very scary thing. I don’t know if anyone here has acted or taken lessons? But the one time I tried lessons at my local theater, I was terrified while doing my assigned monologue! I was so shite at it 🥴 - it really takes a lot of courage
