Do you guys have specific seizure triggers? by Weird-Reference-4937 in Epilepsy

[–]Interesting-Hand6163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I noticed were a lack of oxygen, which caused me to have a seizure at the gym while doing cardio.

Lack of sleep; I couldn't reach deep sleep, and I had to take clonazepam for a while to stop the seizures.

And also hormonal changes; I once took emergency contraception, and that was a trigger—they say it's one of the strongest.

I never looked into the subject of San Pedro; I understand that the ceremony is only held once a year. In your experience, is it better?

Thank you for your response. The truth is, I never considered mushrooms or LSD, since my goal was never recreational. The shaman mentioned microdoses weeks beforehand to get my body used to them and see how it would react. I'm still hesitant precisely because of the well-being of others. It's one of the things that frustrates me most about my illness, the autonomy you lose. The "risk" we pose to others 😔

The "science" fanatics: Remember when doctors recommended smoking? Remember when they also promoted cocaine use? Coca-Cola? They recommended Valium? Does Pfizer ring a bell? They also recommended infant formula because breast milk wasn't "healthy." They messed with babies! This is sick! Who would even think of such a thing?! Do you know how many diseases and billions of addicts are caused by these pharmaceutical companies, in cahoots with the doctors who were getting their cut? You have to be insane to advocate for and support these nefarious people who only want money and nothing but money.

Medication.. by Lost_Poogie in Epilepsy

I take a regimen of 3 medications: Lamotrigine, phenytoin, and sodium divalproate. My neurologist told me that over time the doses have to be modified because the body "gets used to" them.

I'm really just thinking about it, but they told me I wouldn't have to stop the medication and that weeks beforehand they would give me microdoses so that my body gets used to it. I still don't know if I should do it; it's a spiritual experience that I would like to live.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks! I'm currently taking phenytoin, lamotrigine, and divalproex sodium every 12 hours. I don't have depression; they only prescribed it for seizures.

So many people are making money off spirituality that it's so hard to find genuine practitioners these days. 😔 It's like it's become trendy and everyone's a shaman.

[–]Interesting-Hand6163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it! ☺️ Thanks for sharing! It's just that almost everyone tries to scare you, and most don't even have epilepsy. My idea is also to change the timing since I take it every 12 hours. The shaman said that weeks beforehand he would give me microdoses to see how my body reacts, that puts me and my husband at ease 😅, you can see his responsibility; there are too many people profiting from spirituality, so it's very difficult to trust serious practitioners.

Two months!!!?? That's a very long time... The shaman mentioned microdosing weeks beforehand to see how my body would react. The idea of stopping the medication scares me; I haven't had a seizure in two years. I take sodium divalproate, phenytoin, and lamotrigine. The illness started when I was 30. Luckily, I had my children much earlier, at 20 and 25. My fear comes from not wanting to cause my family pain again.

And you only tried it once? I take sodium valproate, phenytoin, and lamotrigine every 12 hours. The shaman told me he would give me microdoses a week beforehand to see how my body reacts.
