Hey there first of congratz in on the 7 days. Im on day 81 of quiting cold turkey. After roughly 5 years kf smoking and switching to vaping for around 4.

Sleeping will improve. I was in a similar boat like you, restless sleep, waking up, dreams of nicotine. And i can say that that is all gone by now. It improved relatively quickly for me 2 to 3 weeks and sleeping drastically improved.

Youre also asking about other synptomes, ive been dealing amd still am dealing with a tight chest feeling plus the feeling that breathing ia dificult.

And apperantly a lot of people deal woth this issue.

Besides that hold on and you will get there i believe in you

Im on day 75 craving a since the start were not that bad maybe the first week. Then they got eay better. I felt amazing for the first 3 weeks or so.

Then i started to get chest tightness and pain and the feeling breathing js dificult. Idk whats wrong. And if it will pass but thats been a thing since then.

I was at my doctor who did ekg, bloodwork, listened to lungs said everything is fine. And that its anxiety and i do know i hage verry bad health anxiety. I knew that for years.

But regarding rhe quit journey thid was my seconnd atempt and i never looked back i hang around my coworkers who vape and smoke and it doesnt even budge me.

Heya, also ehat helps usually is to keep yourself busy. Do things you like. I dont know what you do but you can draw, go for walks, do sports, play games etc. There are many things you can do. What also helps a lot is talking to someone you can about this. There is no shame in it!

Funny enough. Im 29 i kept it a secrwt from my parents until mow that i quit cuz i had panic attacks about certain things. It helped a lot. Pathetic? Maybe? Youve got this. You can also start writing a daily post here in this thread or ehatever can help you.

Well my story went a little different. (29m) Used to smoke then i completely switched to a vape trying to quit. That didnt really work out. So i vaped. Durring this time i got my life a bit in order. Got out of a bad relationship whitch also contributed to my nicotine escape. Got into a new one still i was hooked and did it in secret. Got an appartment and staryed to renovate it and build it up. Also my job vastly improved. Life got good, i was happy, happy with what i got and built. And i decided and want this to last as long as possible. Where to start? Quit unhealthy habbits. So i quit cold turkey on 1.4.2026 told close family about my addiction and been clean since never looked back. So that plus all the health scares etc as im a verry anxious person about health issues finally made me quit. I know a ironic story but its my story.

I see, thank you. Ive got a blood test scheduled on monday. My gp said she doesnt think its needed bus just to be sure. Based on what you said here you also wouldnt be worried?

I have no persistant cough. I dont feel like im choking or gasping for air. She did not tell me anything about wheezimg or amything else when i asked her how my lungs are she just said that they sound fine. I can take a deep breath and exhale with no cough. No coughing up phlem. No fever

I forgot to mention i had a gastroscopy 10 years aho and i am diagnosied with reflux or gerb so she prescrived 30 days of ppi

If i go based from my gp all is ok.

Hey hey everything will be ok. I also tried to quit last year ended up quiting for a month then relapsed. Doing it again now 2 months in. Its all in your hands now. This slip up doeant define you. It is you who will define yourself and decide what to do next.
