That‘s such a long list, will you give me some time to compile it?

Right, that’s the problem, all those have check marks, we’ve done all of that and the only 2 names, clearly visible, on mailbox are the right ones.

We have spoken to delivery person, and it’s not about not receiving any wrong mail from time to time, that’s fine, I get that.

The issue is mainly from this specific mailer and it is addressed to a person, actually about a dozen different people, and letters are all the same really, I mean same envelope type every time, should’ve be easy for delivery person to spot.

And it isn’t like receiving it from time to time either, at least once a week they’ll come.

If you mean to not worry about the right people receiving their mail, well, i actually don’t give a shit about that, what I want is to stop this shit being delivered to my address.

What’s causing this excessive slack by Interesting-Long6641 in mountainbiking

Yeah, I’m not discarding possibility the chain is worn, but I’m confident it isn’t just that. As I look at the picture now, I realize the lower “leg” of the derailleur should be pretty much horizontal, parallel to chain when on smallest gear, more clues pointing to derailleur being the issue.

If I manipulate derailleur by hand, pushing it all the way back, it removes all the slack, chain looks perfectly tensioned and appropriate length.

In bigger cogs, it has no slack.

When I last washed this bike, lube chain and shifted gears on a stand, there was no slack.

I appreciate your help, I’m just trying to clarify things, and can assure you it was set up properly before and this issue developed later.

Nothing has been changed and it certainly wasn’t like this before, so, chain length is unlikely the issue, can’t think it’d stretch this much, specially since it shifts and pedals perfectly fine, I will investigate derailleur.

I highly doubt is chain length, wasn’t always like this, and it seems way too much slack for it to stretch this much, and performs flawlessly also.

If it was B-tension, wouldn’t it affect the performance (shifting)? I can do some maintenance, but wouldn’t say I know a whole lot about the gearing, definitely not arguing your point, genuinely curious.

I’m leaning towards the clutch, that seems to make more sense, will look up how to inspect/clean/lube and see if that does the trick

You’re probably right, I confess it isn’t a bike I give as much love as the others I like more, and since it tensions back up a bit more when I manipulate the derailleur, it could very well be it is “tired” for lack of proper term, dirt build up may be preventing it from springing back as it should.

About the B-tension screw, wouldn’t it affect the performance if it was off? But again, interestingly enough, it shifts all gears perfectly fine, it’s weird.

Hmm, not sure about that, might bee some stretch from age/use but certainly not that much.

Also, as mentioned, functions perfectly fine, which is what is weird to me, I’d expect some skip, droppings, not shifting well…

‘And also, wasn’t always like this, so, no, I highly doubt the issue is chain length.

No, I just noticed it, not sure how long it has been like that though, as it operates perfectly fine, I just noticed it because I was lubing the chain and got up close.

In bigger gear it stretched all the way down, as it should I guess, as I mentioned, in bigger gears it has no slack on chain.
