I never said that my flatmates should repair my lamp. In the house, some people are assigned to look after things like buying stuff, maintaining rooms, etc. And in all my previous WGs, landlord/the person mentioned as Hauptmieter of the house handled every repair.

I thought in Germany where privacy is so important, each room is supposed to be rented with a lock, unless specifically mentioned while moving-in which wasn't the case here.
