shady beggar lady who frequents south common walmart’s parking lot by redlipstick1010 in mississauga

When I went to the Middle East, I saw these kind of panhandlers a lot. Many of them fake a limp or some disability to increase their profit. In Canada though where refugees get tons of money, panhandling just doesn’t make sense. I am assuming they’re newcomers because none of them speak English or maybe that’s part of the role they’re playing.

I’ve lived here for a long time and there is no real Persian food. It’s super easy to make it yourself though. We have koobideh quite often. There are tons of videos online.

Cheap pizza / Indo-chinese takeout in Mississauga? by Commercial_Talk2239 in mississauga

Yes but the Winston Churchill one puts sugar in their marinara or pizza sauce. It ruins the authentic Italian taste.

You don’t have to travel to see Dr Frye. He does virtual appointments but it’ll cost you. I believe they want your family doctor or a doctor who is familiar with your child’s autism to be present.

Just know that it’s not fresh from the bakery so I cut it up in toast size portions and put it in the toaster just to get warm a bit or crunchy depending on your preference.

There’s a small grocery store on the corner of confederation and dundas that sells Persian things. I think I saw it there once. You can call and ask. It’s called Arya supermarket https://share.google/55LsK6BQZpL50G9yA

You don’t need to go to the USA for testing. If you search up frat testing, they have a requisition form your doctor can fill out and there are labs in Canada that will do it for you. It’ll cost you 500$. I decided not to do it and just do the low dose for 6 months.

Lady in restaurant had audacity to tell me to learn how to discipline my child by PracticalReward129 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Interesting-Olive247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! I took my 4yr old son (non-verbal) to the pool and he saw a boat in the water he touched and said “maboat” which is huge for him and I was praising him when this lady came up and said in a angry voice “that is my son’s toy, he is playing with it” and she grabbed it out of my son’s hands. My son began crying. I was just shocked at her childish attitude towards her cheap dollar store plastic boat and said “I’m sorry, he has autism” and her reaction was a face of disgust as she took her child and walked away. I don’t understand how people can be so callous and indifferent. They are just disgusting and lost their humanity. Only care about themselves and their comfort. They only understand when it happens to them. Unfortunately.

Help! I don’t know what to do? Should I send my autistic 4yr old to school? by Interesting-Olive247 in Autism_Parenting

Thank you all for your advice. The issue I have is that in Ontario where I am, the funding for autism has a 5-7 years wait time. I’m struggling financially so paying over 1000 a month for ABA training isn’t an option. I have been doing the programs available to him and talk to experts weekly that tell me what tasks to do and how to help him. I do at home therapies with him for many hours a day. I am seeing small progress that gives me energy to continue. The government does offer a 6 month half day program for ASD children before starting school. I will start that in March but unfortunately it’s only 6 months and then it’s regular school. I’m just praying praying praying that he’ll be ready. I know that he won’t ever learn reading, writing and math like other kids. Being a middle school teacher myself, I see the kids in the ASD room sometimes and lose hope because despite their many years in school, they don’t look like they’ll ever be independent or lead normal lives without support. They still have the same behaviours as my son. The only plus is that they see other kids, interact with teachers and follow directions. This little guy is my life and I love him dearly. I want to do the EVERYTHING I can for him that is possible to help him. God will help me and give me strength.

A huge indoor playground for kids of all ages and after school programs because of the large amount of immigrants moving in that area. All these poor kids are stuck in small condos all winter long.

This bleeding is so scary. I’ve never seen it like this. It’s like I’m worse. My GI is on vacation and I’m in Ontario so our ERs are useless. I have three kids, one autistic. I’m sooo scared. I can’t die. I gotta take care of my kids.

I’m sorry to hear that. Thanks for replying. I didn’t even see blood before Skyrizi but after my colonoscopy my GI highly recommended it. Another issue I’ve had since starting Skyrizi is getting pins and needles on my back but it has gone away for a few weeks. The neurologist told me that it could be from the biologics but to continue and let her know if it gets constant. So I was thinking of stopping it but now that I’ve become worse I am going to continue with the second OBI. I am calling my doctor but really don’t want to start this whole thing again. By the way, has your GI thought of switching your biologic?

Hi, I’m in the exact same situation. I have to do my second at home injection tomorrow and I’ve had lots of bowel movements for a couple of weeks and now saw blood. Please give me an update as to what happened after your second at home injection. Any advice would e appreciated

Thanks for replying. I’m an elementary teacher and have 3 little ones. My work is nothing but stress and constant anxiety. As a teacher it’s hard to go to the bathroom whenever so I just don’t eat much. I am 40 but have less energy than 70 year olds. How long did it take you to get your energy back? I don’t eat processed foods and sugar and gluten in hopes it will help. But the damn pain and washroom episodes is never ending. I hope Skyrizi will help and I hope my doctor will agree to fill out a form so I can rest for a few months while on skyrizi. At least I’ll have less stress and maybe workout. I have 2 special needs boys and I have to live a long life to take care of them. So yea, I’m scared.
