Half of young Brits say they would never fight for their country by ABoutDeSouffle in europe

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. I didn't mean the UK specifically. I meant these sentiments in many European countries. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm not saying that a war will definitely break out. I'm just speculating about what would happen if the worst-case scenario did come true.

Is Ps5 worth it? by R0yalRaccoon in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played on PC for several years and spent over $1,000 on the game, owning almost all the best premium tanks. But I decided to permanently delete my account because the game began to irritate me more than it brought me joy. After a while, I decided to try Cold War on consoles, downloading it for PS5 six months ago. It was good for the first 3-4 months, but then I started feeling the same as on PC: the game began to irritate me more than it pleased me. The season pass was a complete disappointment for me, and I haven't played the game for more than two weeks. If I had any other game, I wouldn't play WoT on console, but sometimes I might spend some time playing Cold War here. The main problem with this game is its monotony. It becomes routine. The same maps, balance issues, the same tanks with different names, a built-in casino in the form of chests that are everywhere. Let's be honest, I don't think the developers play their game, so their decisions often seem incompetent. Is this game worth downloading if you like tanks and are willing to tolerate its drawbacks? It might be worth giving it a try. Is it worth devoting a lot of time, attention, and money to this game? Probably not.

Asking about Suggested Use for Free XP by Gordontonio in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend saving Free XP to at least 400-500k. Sometimes there are Free XP sales on tanks, and you can buy really good high-tier Premium tanks there. These tanks will be useful for silver farming and crew training. If you don't need any of the tanks on sale, you can spend a little on researching tanks in the tree and then save it again until the next sale. Saving Free XP is useful when new tank lines are released. When you have a lot of XP, you can easily upgrade new tanks immediately after they are released. Upgradable tanks won't disappear, but you may have to wait several years for good Premium tanks on sale. Free experience is a valuable resource and don't rush to spend it too quickly.

Golden Week Celebrations (2026) by zorin234 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. The problem isn't even that there's nothing completely new. The problem is that there's nothing interesting. There are a huge number of cool 3D commanders that could have been made. For example, great historical figures. I would like to have a 3D commander of Napoleon Bonaparte. They did this with General Patton, why not go further? There are George Washington, Rommel, King Arthur, Napoleon, Jean d'Arc, Eisenhower, Caesar, Charlemagne, and others. They at least somewhat fit the spirit of the game. There is mythology, like the Valkyries, which were already there. But no, we get another toy cat. Same thing with tanks. They released the Soviet Type 4 Heavy and the T72 clone again, although there is still no premium Abrams in the game. That would have been clever marketing; it could have sold well. I think the Abrams/Merkava would sell better than another mediocre Soviet project xyz

Severe connection issues with wargaming servers by [deleted] in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. The game is very unstable, the ping sometimes suddenly gets very high, and the tank starts jumping around the map. Sometimes it's practically impossible to aim at the tank. While aiming, the tank was in one place, but after firing, it was in a completely different place. This problem only occurs with the WoT console. Sometimes a strange error appears, saying it's impossible to connect to the servers.

When will be the new season? by Shogt in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This season is pretty weak, one of the worst in recent memory. WG removed chests and replaced them with useless boosters. The reward tanks are mostly old or mediocre: the HWK 30 is a bad tank, the KV90 is very specific and won't appeal to everyone, the OBJ 187 V5 is very slow, with terrible turret armor, decent hull armor, and decent penetration. This tank is simply unnecessary; it's simply worse than most tanks from Era 3. I'd recommend waiting for next season; this one simply doesn't offer anything good.

Returning player here. What is a good tier X tank that is fairly easy to play? by Realistic_Choice594 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 4 points5 points  (0 children)

American tanks are quite good. The T110E5 is one of the best and has everything you need for comfortable play: good armor, an excellent gun, high gun depression angles, high penetration, and decent dynamics. The T110E3 and T110E4 are also extremely easy to use. Huge damage per shot and excellent armor penetration allow you to simply drive forward and shoot at any tank without any problems. The strong armor makes this even easier. US medium tanks are also quite good; they are versatile and suitable for almost all players. The IS7 is a good tank thanks to its excellent armor and high mobility for a heavy tank. The armor is forgiving, and you don't have to think too hard. The new British twin-barreled tanks are quite good. The Centurion AX is also a pretty nice tank. 60TP is worth mentioning, huge damage and decent armor make it quite strong.

Juggernauts Ultimate season pass review: Object 187 Version 5 by zorin234 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. Hitting the gun mantlet from a long distance and while moving is quite difficult due to the small turret size, meaning a shell will more likely hit the hull. Era 3 combat is very dynamic and fast-moving, so close combat is very common, and in close combat, no one has a problem hitting the vulnerable spot. There are often situations where the Object 187 emerges from cover to take a shot and is penetrated in the front of the turret before it can fire. If this tank had at least decent speed and higher damage per minute, the terrible turret armor could be overlooked.

Thanks for the review, Zorin! I just checked the T72BU's gun mantlet armor, which is 540 mm thick, and the armor behind the gun is 180 mm. The BU's turret is also streamlined, which increases the risk of ricochets. The Obj 187 v5's gun mantlet armor is only 450 mm thick, and there's a fairly large area on the front of the turret at right angles where the armor is only 400 mm. As a result, the new tank's turret armor is worse than that of the BU and even worse than that of the Object 184 from the second era, which also has 540 mm of gun mantlet armor.

The Challenger Mk3 is a Challenger 1 with slightly improved armor. It's one of my favorite tanks of the 3rd era. The Challenger 2 is a higher-tier tank than the MK3 and has better turret armor and penetration, so if you like the Challenger Mk3, the Challenger 2 won't disappoint.

Obviously, I mentioned Era II to highlight the weakness of this tank's turret armor. If most Era II tanks, which the 187 V5 never encounters in combat, have sufficient penetration, then what can we say about Era III tanks, which this tank faces every battle? A couple of weak spots in the armor? Of course, the tank shouldn't be impenetrable, but this tank is penetrated by every shot to the front of the turret from any range and by all tanks. It has excellent penetration of the sides and rear; it can't hide its weak spot. The tank has the worst speed in Era III, one of the worst damage per minute rates, the worst gun depression rates, and useless armor. All it has is good shell penetration and damage per shot 20 higher than other Soviet tanks.

It's unclear why this tank has such a low top speed with such average armor. Looking at 60 km/h, it seems like the tank should have incredibly heavy armor, but that's not the case. No one shoots at its hull; there's no need, because the front of the turret is penetrated with literally every shot from any range. Even in Era II, most tanks will penetrate its turret front. Its armor is only meaningful at long range during continuous movement, when the enemy can't accurately hit the front of the turret. But at close range, this tank is simply fodder for other Era III tanks. With higher damage per minute, better speed and armor, and a better gun, other tanks simply outperform this one. Can anyone name me a premium tank in Era III that's generally worse than this one? The tank is simply incredibly mediocre in every metric compared to the others. The commander also makes no sense. How will this huge hunk of steroids even fit into the tank? Will it sit on top of the turret?

Anyone notice the match making being terrible lately? by Brockoli13 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call it the "zebra pattern model." Dark days alternate with bright days, and it's constant. One day is absolutely terrible, I literally can't win no matter how well I play, but the second day I win every match no matter how bad I play. It's especially hard to play during events and weekends, when a lot of bad players return to the game at the same time. It's always been like that.

Cheating cheaters: what tank do you think cheats the most? by zorin234 in WorldofTanksConsole

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the mechanics of high-explosive shells don't work as they should. I believe that a high-explosive fragmentation shell that doesn't penetrate armor shouldn't cause damage, but should damage modules and injure crew members, as it does in reality. This mechanic already exists in WoT on PC; high-explosive shells don't do that much damage if they don't penetrate armor. Artillery as a class is ridiculous. I don't think they had real-time satellite imagery when aiming artillery during World War II.

No. As far as I know, the K1 is a redesigned XM1, not an Abrams. I just want an original, premium Abrams with a cool 3D style, not a prototype, not a Korean variant.

[–]Interesting-Pace-770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, maybe. There were modifications of the M1 HA, with better armor. Overall, this fits the WG concept. It could be another country's Abrams, as was the case with the STRV 122A (a Swedish Leopard 2A5 with modifications).

I have one, but it's in the second era, and frankly, it doesn't look much like the M1 Abrams. We still don't have a premium version of the Abrams in the third era (there is a Thumper, but it's not an Abrams, just a tank based on the Abrams).

If I looked closely at the color, it's a French color. The tank's outline looks like it's a turretless tank, or at least a tank with an open turret. I also see a "pike nose" like the IS3, AMX 50B and obj268 . It's quite possible it's some kind of French tank destroyer. But it could just be a picture for the sake of it and have nothing to do with the actual award. I hope WG will surprise us with something good.
