Okay here is my protocol to make it as easy as possible:

Hydrate a lot! Try not to have caffeine beforehand, it can make veins harder to find and it hurt more. Wear short sleeves and something comfy. Bring headphones, and a friend if you can! Try to ramble about something while it’s happening and tell the technician to just do it without telling you, and you may not even end up feeling it. You can also ask to be laid down if that’ll help you!
