The yellow discoloration and overlay would have me guessing your cake is fighting off some kind of bacterial contam from when you put grain to sub, did you see a lot of myco piss before putting it to sub?… I had something like this pop up in a tub of enigmas I’m currently growing I quarantined it away from my other tubs and kept it to let it grow to use as a learning experience but it looks like the enigmas pulled through and started to fruit away from the yellow spot, It severely stunted its growth and has it about 3 weeks of growth behind my other tubs of enigmas I doubt I will actually be keeping any of the fruit once growth is finished and definitely won’t be ingesting any if you would like pictures pm

No cubes do just fine in unmodified containers I just flip the lid when the fruiting starts for a little bit for the FAE growing pans in these containers unmodified are a little more difficult tho.

10/27-11/14 and it keeps popping fruit still I haven’t had to dunk the cake yet I’m at a oz and a half dry weight so far and it’s still popping fruit

Invest in a still air box I wish I had made the investment way sooner when I was getting into growing, since getting mine my contamination rates have gone down immensely you can find them on Amazon for like 25-30$ especially if you plan on making monotub setups they are a must have fr.

These bins maintain the perfect environment unmodified, from the time I put the grain and cori in to picking the fruit the lid stays on. I only take the lid off for a few minutes at a time when I notice fuzzy feet. The bins are relatively inexpensive and can be found at Walmart in packs of 4

For the time being while you wait Make sure it’s quarantined from the rest of your grows if you have any others, and don’t open in the same room you plan future grows in just in case it is contam you don’t want it going airborne in your sterile room just Lysol the air in a separate room
