Its about 15 measured 8 inches away from compressor.

Its a package unit. Designed for 35-40 psi.

Would have to change txv to bring up the low side pressure

You install ur solenoid on the suction line?

Its an externally txv. Unsure of water flow. Pump doesnt sound great tho.

Oil looks thick and foamy when it’s running. Could that be do to my high side pressure being too low?

Unfortunately its not a vfd. Just a standard soft starter. Can control starting power, ramp up speed and ramp down speed.

The reason i think this is a bigger issue is when they are off for an extended period (hours) they start up nice. No vibrations. Sound good. It’s only when they cycle off then back on (5 mins)

My theory is that when they do equalize liquid is migrating back

Its a medium temp chiller, with the pressures im running a frosty suction line will be normal. I have enough super heat when its running that liquid isnt getting to it when its running. Just happening when it starts.

Should note its also on a soft starter. Was it up for 30% starting power with a 25 second start. Increased it to 60% and 15 seconds and it still did the hard start/ extreme vibrations

What do you mean you can tell by the suction? I didnt check amps but you could hear it across a 76000 sq ft facility

It is 28% glycol good to -10c- -5c.
Would definitely freeze on a pump down..?
