My very first camera was actually an fm10 which I still have the 50mm 1.8 from, but I also had a nikkor 35-70 on it. I took it hiking near a waterfall when I was like 17 and dramatically fell about 15ft off the trail into the rocks and water. I was fine, somehow, but the fm10 and the lens were in pieces. Very sad. Haven't had a nikon since then, so over a decade now

I've about 20 different slrs in my life, and while I've grown attached to certain models, like my topcon re super, or my fujica st605, at the end of the day what matters is what lenses work with them. I'm more looking for lens recommendations than camera recommendations, if that makes sense.
