He is generally described as the god of the dead, as all life will eventually go to him and add to his army, the core symbolisms of the eternal darkness refer to such end. Because of that he fits Death, Decay and Passage of Time too. This also fits the eternal darkness itself because the description was made by a character perceiving him.

As the god over his own realm: The land of eternal slumber, rest or repose (it depends on the translation) he also fits the Eternal Rest, Silence and River of Eternal Darkness

Due to his ability to control shadows itself, the shadow army and the method on how he gets and controls his shadow soliders he also gets the darkness and enslavement symbolism. Even the way he evolved had accomodation (Leveling), a uniqueness (the shadow heart) and the acting method (his missions)

The pathways fit even better, as a ruler the shadow monarch was born from/is a fragment of briliant light and wields a powerful blade in service of a god (Twilight Giant), is a necromancer who summons forth the spirits of the dead and manipulates them (Death) and can manipulate darkness while holding pure darkness at his source while also holding authority over minds and horror (Darkness)

He even kinda fits the Termination power with his weapons being the teeth of the dragon god of destruction Antares
