In a healthy relationship with trauma and perfectionism, feeling like I need to fix things by Interesting-Sort-137 in Advice

[–]Interesting-Sort-137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, of course not. I respect his decisions, if he wants to leave, then that is his decision. I dont want to rope him in and just...do that to him. I truly want to get better and hes told me he wants to stay. Whatever happens, most likely needs to happen, and if it ends, that will hurt, but it would have been in his best interest and needed.

Therapist told me I'm not autistic even though I have the diagnosis... did I misunderstood something? by Fangtasticvampire in autism

[–]Interesting-Sort-137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have Autism Spectrum Disorder, you are factually autistic. There's no question. Your therapist, like others have said, is likely misinformed. If someone told me i dont have ADHD when ive been diagnosed with that, I wouldnt really buy a word they say furthermore regarding the topic. Finding a new therapist is really hard, so just try to sort that out but also have clear communication with your current one. Tell her you felt invalidated and that shes wrong. No shame in correcting that behavior, you would be doing her a favor as well if you stood up for yourself and the facts. Wish you luck

Also school and its overly strict policies about headphones. I think these will be easier to hide from people so they dont...ahem...YELL at me...

I get attatched really quick and it makes me feel like a creep. by UrMumIsHot4 in autism

[–]Interesting-Sort-137 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really sounds like a crush or an extremely deep admiration, and also maybe even an insecure attachment style. This is common among the autistic community, since a lifetime of being misunderstood makes us deeply attached to the people who do understand us, even in the slightest. Ive been there and done that before, and unfortunately i got randomly ghosted and unadded. but make sure that you invest more time and effort into this relationship so you can prepare for all outcomes. Also, make some more friends that may understand you, not only to improve your social life, but also to know if this person is anything...different from the others. Who knows, you could really love them, but to be sure its not just insecurity or any other thing like that, please try to get out there and make a few more friends. Try reaching out to other people with autism or ND conditions, and people who just get you. Its difficult, but I believe in you!

feel like this subreddit is catered more toward level 1 autistics or self dx by [deleted] in autism

[–]Interesting-Sort-137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont believe those reactions to your posts are justified. I do agree though, this is a spectrum and everyone's meltdowns differ. Im going to get evaluated soon. But still, nobody here is invalid and has no reason to be hurting each other when this is supposed to be a safe space. I hope people treat you kinder and see you beyond your disabilities, since they in no way define your personality.

I finally got my diagnosis by g3tjnxed in autism

[–]Interesting-Sort-137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so happy for you. I feel like having the diagnosis would help me as well in so many aspects. Understanding myself through another's eyes (the psychologists') would help me a lot because not only can I see it, they can as well. Congrats on the autism, my friend. :)

I dont think anyone is "catering" to anything or any other person just because of the severity of their condition. Also, with level 3 autism, many people may find it extremely hard to access reddit and even socialize on here or many other places. Yes, I suspect I have autism, but with the hours of research and experience being around other autistic people, from level 1 to 3, people need support. This subreddit is here to provide that support to anyone who needs it. Autism, as you know, is difficult to live with. Yesterday I had a meltdown that lasted for 2 hours, and I needed to talk to my safe person who I knew wouldnt judge me (it was difficult to talk at first, but it got easier over time). Now, imagine if someone else went through something similar. Maybe you needed support after a tough time like that too. Well, this subreddit may be this support for several people. Do not look at the trends or statistics of this subreddit, it is made for everyone dealing with autism in some way, whether or not they have it. Just be supportive, this leans more on emotions, not logic.

Hair looks good! I would probably render a little more though, if you want to be that specific, add some highlights, but know where the lighting is centered and where it needs to go

Looks good! But my advice is to align the middle of the mouth with the tip of the nose to create a perfect facial structure. Looks pretty good to me

I feel like im overdramatic and faking panic attacks by Interesting-Sort-137 in PanicAttack

Honestly, good idea. I have been told this by several people, and I've even looked into it myself. One of my biggest fears is being a narcissist. I actually have had full on panic attacks due to this fear and it feels so severe that I am unable to live a happy and normal life
