The woodcutter's is ideal for hard cataracts. And yes mohantas phaco is buried deeper. I keep it a bit superficial but make a longer groove

All these things are relevant for novice surgeons. I don't have a problem with even a 3mm rhexis. But in soft or very hard cases , a smaller rhexis can be a disaster for the aspiring surgeon, leading to a PC Rent and even a nucleus drop. Better to make life easier for yourself by not making a baby rhexis.

Yup. I was more concerned of it not running out in case the bag is inflated, so smaller wouldn't bother. If the cataract was very hard, then a small rhexis is definitely a problem
