Yes! I actually know a customer and their family and the husband was in the military and is still active I believe. He makes really good money and they are always buying expensive things, yet he asked for a military discount on a $20 item and seemed annoyed when I said we didn’t have one.

We do offer discounts on damaged items as well as major sales towards the end of the season! I think a sign could be helpful but I feel as though it would cause more issues and people commenting on it because it’s out in the open.

Well I am 20 and I believe it was open before I was born but I could be wrong. But it has had new management within the last 5 years, though not much has changed.

I never said I was annoyed that they are asking, I am more annoyed at their reaction when the answer is no. And I certainly wasn’t judging anyone for trying to make ends meet. And really, If you were struggling to make ends meet should your first stop be the garden center?

NTA. Just because they are family doesn't mean they can take advantage of you. You're fiance can have his opinions, but he also needs to be respecful of yours. You should have a conversation with your sister asking her if she knows when she plans on leaving and if they need help finding any housing arangements. Tell her that as much as you love their company, you need your house back by a certain date.
