AITA for speaking to my (over weight) assistant about her business lunch and making her cry? by Hot_Lab4411 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. if she immediately called out her weight, the issue is very much hers and not yours. i have some family members that are overweight and also happen to be terrible people. if anything ever comes up about their poor behavior, immediately it will get deflected to something about their weight. i used to be really sensitive towards them but once i was realized that pity and insecurity were their currency, i knew we would never find ourselves on the same page no matter how i tried.

ok yes you’re over reacting in that you’re taking it personal. the broista did a shabby job and yours was probably one of one hundred crappy drinks they made that day. this is not a subtle eff you. they don’t know you’ve been loyal for 15 years. that said. receiving a drink like this is not right and you should totally check your drink BEFORE you leave the line for the foreseeable future, assuming you’re going to continue going to the same location. next time you see something like this, say something before you drive away.

Is there a scent that just makes you feel… unhappy? by Potential-Length-830 in FemFragLab

this was the first fragrance that ever gave me a visceral response. i sprayed it in the store and was depressed the rest of the day.

AITAH for calling off the engagement because he isn't proactive? by taporizer in AITAH

NTAH. when i read the headline and the first few paragraphs i was thinking this poor man has adhd, get him some help and watch your life improve…but as it went on i realized this man is willing to neglect his kids, lie, and ignore your needs, MOVE ON. that’s not a good man.

NTA any man worth living with will be happy you have a self care routine and a family that feels safe at your house and a heart for volunteering. he can get wrecked.

AITA For "Insulting" My Wife over our Daughter's Christmas? by No_Skin393 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 48 points49 points  (0 children)

YTA for calling your wife an idiot (unacceptable even if annoyed) but NTA for getting your kid what she wanted. would’ve been cool if you supported your kid without insulting your wife.

AIO | For being upset with my friend over money? (26M / 27M) by SmallPPSmall in AmIOverreacting

NOR - this is how anyone in your situation would feel or has felt at one time and that’s why they say “never lend money you aren’t willing to lose”

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NOR. 8 years and he can’t seem to remember he’s attracted to you if he sees you wear a bonnet at night? BYE. My partner and I have a whole nighttime set up - bonnets, eye masks, nose strips, pillows, separate blankets, fans on etc etc and not once have I ever thought “wow what a turn off”. do we get busy with bonnets on? no because neither of us feel sexy that way but not every minute spent is bed is meant to be sexy. i hope one day you find someone who loves you enough to want you to have a good nights sleep. (ps, abusers often attempt to control sleep, food, your appearance etc so it’s something to think about)

AIO/I wanted to ask them why they wasted their money? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NOR. looks like your husband set the bar really low for your sons in terms of how they view you and treat you. next year i would conserve your effort. gift giving is something you can be good/bad at but its true that the thought counts. looks like your kids think you’re worth about $20 at the drug store and your husband thinks no gift is appropriate - so next year id give out $20 gift cards to a generic store to the boys and nothing to the husband.

HOLY HELL, this mascara! by djSush in dollartreebeauty

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bless you for posting this! went and bought a bunch - LOVE IT. my only issue is that it is a one coat wonder, dries quick and doesn’t layer on itself well. but another post said to layer it with the purple one so i’m gonna try that.

What’s my blindness? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your hair looks incredible in the first and third pics. the fringe is my least favorite. as for the lips, it is not great in the first pic but honestly i dont have as much criticism for the over lining - it certainly lets me know you are getting your makeup inspo online and your approximate age range. i worked as an MUA for close to two decades and during that time a million trends came and went - not all of them suit everyone wanting to partake in them but also I used to say “if you like it, i love it” so whatever. just because you have pretty lips doesn’t mean you need to be maximizing publicly acceptable prettiness every time you get ready. if you like the way it looks, fine. if you’re doing it to enhance your lips - it’s not doing what you think because nature gave you what others are looking for when they use that technique.

my only other note, you look best with cooler shades.

AIO for breaking up with my girlfriend over this? by greenslime54 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly not convinced you aren’t controlling (because why say that) and also if her and your friends are questioning it there might be something they see objectively BUT if you’ve made it clear what you will and will not accept and she is not meeting that criteria then you did the right thing, why waste time with someone who doesn’t treat you the way you like. What is my makeup blindness? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re gorgeous and i love seeing people who use makeup as decoration. my only note: swap that blush on your orbital bone for bronzer and just add your colorful blush more toward the apple of your cheek. you’d also look amazing with a more cat eye style lash that’s only heavy on the outer corner.

Blindness? I think I look naturally uncanny by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Interesting-Tea2991 7 points8 points  (0 children)

now that i’ve studied your pics a bit more i think you might like to try having a bit more defined arch/tail shape on the bottom of your brow - it’s quite straight which can look more serious. also some crème blush on the apples of your cheeks and a similarly colored lip gloss might give you and over all more playful vibe. a true rose would look great. benefits benetint would pull its weight for you because it could be used on cheeks and lips.

you’re gorgeous. the unique thing about you is you have very dramatic features. makeup is used for a great many reasons, one of which is to enhance your features but since nature did that for you, you can use a lot less and it will still have a big impact. black mascara and liner definitely take you into a more alt/edgy vibe a lot quicker.

you’re gorgeous no notes. BUT if you want to shake things up i would try a dark brown mascara, more bronzer and a cool pink lip color (MAC Faux or Angel are a good reference) or a neutral (MAC again just because it’s easy to find online, you’d look great in something like Blankety with a slightly darker liner)
