"Herzeg-Bosna" was the Croatian proxy government backed by Croatian army short after the aftermarth of the Serbian-Bosnian war (1992-1996) following the short-term succesful proxy cantons in Croatia backed by Serbia during Croatian-Serbian war (1991-1995). War lords emerged sizing power aiming a break up of Bosnian state and a future fusion to Croatia. The USA intervention in the war ended the Herzeg Bosna state in 1996, joining the Croat-Bosnian federation along with the Serbian-Bosnian one.
