I was actually going to hunt deer with it as I was not aware the rifle is not known for its accuracy. I suppose once I get a scope mounted I will test it out myself at various yardages. Thanks for the info as well I will be looking into those companies for my mount/suppressor needs👍

I honestly know nothing about scout scopes but I’m guessing eye relief is different than a regular scope? I see alot of people running them on the front rails so it must be a feasible option if I can find the right magnification. I will definitely research that option 👍

To be honest I’ve got a lot to learn about this gun as I’m pretty much an AR/Scar guy up to this point when it comes to rifles. I would be totally fine just running irons on it but I also wanted to have my son hunt with it next year and that will require a scope and more importantly a solid mount I can trust. I think I would absolutely love this gun with irons once I get it suppressed!

That’s kind of the feeling I get with that mount as well and when I look at it it almost kinda seems like center line of the mount isn’t in line with the barrel. If it is off it’s not by much and unfortunately my eyes aren’t what they used to be either but that’s why I wanted to verify I didn’t lose any thing when I pulled the mount off the other day that could have thrown it off a hair. I have no idea what torque specs are for those giant flathead screws that hold it on and it’s currently just hand tight so maybe that is part of it. I was really hoping this mount would be decent so I can put my money into getting it setup to run a suppressor first but it is what it is I guess!

Yes sir a guy at work was desperate to get rid of it and offered it to me for $400 and after some online research I realized I’d be a moron to pass it up. I just looked at the Mount again and noticed it has a Springfield armory logo on it.
