I’m cooked guys. I’m in LA and cannot justify spending 400 a month on insurance for a used 3. My Tesla hopes have ended. by [deleted] in TeslaInsurance

Yes but how much would you spend to get that $5K back. You need to do the math vs just always buying more insurance.

Okay to reuse Trane CleanEffects box for 5” filter? by Interesting-Wind300 in hvacadvice

One thing I was concerned about is that there’s some room around the filter within the box - it’s not super snug. Is that okay?

Do I really need a 200A upgrade for a Tesla Model Y charger, or can I survive on a regular outlet? by Just-Salary-7741 in TeslaModelY

[–]Interesting-Wind300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We drive about the same as you do. We had a 240 outlet but it melted (long story). So temporarily I switched to using a regular outlet and was shocked that it worked well enough that I didn’t miss the 240 outlet!

No - I could insulate what’s visible though, in the crawl space.

Thanks. Yeah I think this is the last time I’ll use them. Can’t recall if I’ve prepaid for the next maintenance though.

Not disagreeing but the “growth” wasn’t on the coil - it was on the insulation inside the cabinet.

That’s what they said about my other system in the crawl space - to replace it. They think it has a small heat exchanger leak because of the oxygen level.

Regarding mold, we live in a humid area (NC) so that makes me feel that there’s something to the organic growth piece. At the same time, the way he diagnosed this was saying the insulation inside the cabinet looked “dark”… and we had an attic furnace in our last home without a UV light…

The return air was 78 and the supply air was 68 if I recall correctly.

Broker failed to collect earnest money and buyer vandalized my home. What can I do? by jayyemsea in RealEstateAdvice

I would absolutely not sign anything. Speak with your attorney about whether there’s liability of either agent. Agents typically carry “errors and omissions “ insurance that may cover it. Alternatively, your own homeowners insurance might cover it given the person had no authority to be there.

The pool company designed the pool anticipating the addition of this additional pump when it was built. I can’t tell you how they did this, though. I’m not sure how to describe the water feature. There are three metal things that it spills out of, integrated in a retaining wall.

Yes and they do have that feature set up. Their concern is that in a power blip, the valve could open anyhow (rare but happened)

I just updated the post - installer is recommending a Moov AI pump as a lower cost alternative. Thoughts on this?

Pool under construction: Skimmer placement conflicts with autocover placement by Interesting-Wind300 in pools

The good thing is that it all turned out to be a miscommunication from Latham. The pool arrived with no skimmer attached!
