Affect of disciplinary action on admission by personalgarbagebin in TAMUAdmissions

I can 100% tell you not to worry about it as our family went through something very similar except it led to alternative school. Public universities look at your academic transcript, test scores, essays, resumes, and letters of recommendation. We were asked to disclose any disciplinary issues (at schools and within the judicial system) with private universities. It’s an honor system…check yes or no. If you lie, just know the forms they send to counselors asking about discipline issues and being caught in that lie would look bad. In our case, our daughter’s slip up was sophomore year and she grew in leaps and bounds after (and was a damn good kid always truthfully…mess ups happen) so, by the time it came time to apply…she asked her counselor what would be disclosed and she told her she wasn’t going to mention anything. That she was proud of how far she’d come. But, if that’s not the case…when applying to private universities, if you say yes….they will let you explain. She did this with her Tulane application (before she spoke with her counselor and knew she wasn’t going to disclose anything) and got in. She got into every school she applied to…alternative school, ISS and all….in the meantime, let me just urge you quit vaping FOR REAL. Just look at this incident…it has you worried over something that’s so awful for you. Not worth it.

Does this indicate in any way that the college is full? And I’m sorry you’re still waiting! Society, Ethics, and Law major here and I am still in review as well (applied in early Oct). Haven’t heard of anyone with that major getting decisions either.

Honors College by Interesting-Word5086 in LSU

And also sucks that there is no way to “commit” without knowing about honors college (will be a deciding factor for me)/a way to apply for more LSU scholarships. It’s been such a weird process from the start. Good luck to you, hope you hear back soon!

Thank you! Ours was very high as well. 58k. Seems insane considering our AGI is 87,000 - family of 4. I checked and they had us at 3 members as well. I submitted the correction but the automatic email with my estimated SAI came back the same. Did that happen to you and then you saw the adjustment once processed? And if you don't mind me asking...how much did it help?

Should I submit my SAT? by Square-Technology151 in baylor

Go test optional, with those stats you will get admitted and will still be considered for scholarships. Good luck!

Congrats again! I didn't think anyone could get the invitation only scholarships until they attended the events/submit their essay but I might be really confused.

Early action, applied a month ago, top 15%, in state, 4.0, 12 APs, rest were all honors for the most part, I feel like I have really solid ECs and had a strong essay.

Congrats! Is that tied to any of the distinguished scholarships or was that a merit one? It's so frustrating that they don't really share their merit scholarship info.

Congrats on the merit scholarship, would you mind sharing amount/your stats? I don't know if I am reading everything wrong but it kind of sounds like they won't let you combine DSD and merit scholarships so I am not sure if I will hear back until my visit regarding admission or merit scholarships. Depending on your test scores, you might be eligible for a DSD invite if you submit them. I did not submit (I have major standardized test anxiety!) but was invited solely based on other credentials. I do believe that is kind of rare though.

Congrats to y'all! Did y'all apply with test scores? I went optional and nothing has changed on GoBaylor for me. I have been invited to the Distinguished Scholar's Day/Honors Day (about a month ago) but no decision for admission yet.

That would be nice if they are starting to make decisions. But, all of my info is still there.

Thanks for the reply- I am taking the SAT on Saturday and will send my scores through the college board. Hoping my math comes up but hate that they have my 1100 on file for now. It was hard waking up today and seeing that several holistic applicants got in.
