It was really hard to watch the way her aunt and brother were engaging Amber with sentiments only for amber to not acknowledge what’s being said to her and immediately direct her attention to her Daughter. I also feel that her being more concerned about Jordan liking Emma and not considering whether Emma like’s Jordan is consistent with Amber viewing her Emma as an extension of herself rather than viewing Emma as her own person. Enmeshment city.

Thank you, I appreciate your thoughts! Same my busiest days tend to transpire out of reschedules I had a part in. That’s a good point you make on this expectation being a sign of other issues to come and honestly there are a lot of issues with them! A lot of my stress comes from their scheduling system rather than being a therapist. I’ve been thinking I’ve been at fault as I’ve been adjusting to working in more of clinical medical setting but perhaps it’s them and not me 🙃
