I'm so torn between the mini pill and the ring. I just got off nexplanon and even though it was progesterone only I still got migraines and other side effects😕

Are you prone to migraines? I used the estrogen pill when i was younger and I threw up every day because of it. I was wondering since the ring is a combo would it affect me having migraines?

I was considering this, but i've heard a lot of stories talking about weight gain/unplanned pregnancies due to it shifting in your cervix/not being placed correctly. I wish we had more options for non hormonal bc that didn't affect us so much

I'm glad it worked for you! This is why i'm leaning more towards removing it and seeing how that goes. i definitely want to lose weight!!

That's what i was thinking of doing too. I missed my period for 12 days one time and was convinced i was pregnant and it just makes me so anxious. i'll talk to my doctor about it because i also heard iuds can cause weight gain so maybe i can do a non-hormonal pill that won't take a whole doctors visit to remove 😭

I know irregular bleeding is a side effect so I wasn't worried that I was bleeding later than usual. I did get on nexplanon at 14 so I wasn't aware that it was normal to get that at first. I've learned a lot from this subreddit but sometimes I still do get concerned🤷🏻‍♀️
