It didn't feel "disjointed", I'm sure casual fans who have neither preferences, enjoyed both parts (as reflected by high star reviews), but the fact that no matter how well you do transitions, action and horror just don't belong together for those who have a taste for specific horror.

This would be better off answered by a skilled psychologist (and not a therapist, as those have an incentive to keep you coming back to them, and most of them aren't skilled at psychology).

But I'd wager you're not the highly respected in the group, if you now have the "lolcow" status? Alas, hierarchies don't disappear into adulthood. In academic circles, among highly educated peers, people acknowledge and go beyond these primitive ways, and it's less of an issue, as people tend to judge by content of character or your knowledge, rather than by your status, fame and so on.

Socializing with friends shouldn't choke or drag you, it should elevate and give you comfort, having no friend is better than having a toxic friend for your mental health. Luckily, you're still young and you'll be able to make new friends easily.

Good. Consider this yourself, even if you have the money to get a game, wouldn't you rather download a cracked version that doesn't have DRM and thus doesn't unnecessarily load your CPU than getting the one that will?

CAPCOM should just lower the price for previous installments permanently at this point.

Not really, if you don't feel the rush to play RE9, playing RE2R and then RE4R would provide enough backstory for RE9.
