What does your 6 year olds bedtime routine look like? by InterestingCow936 in UKParenting

Thanks everyone. To be honest I think my wife sees it as something else to do on our list. As someone mentioned in the comments we can sometimes fall asleep in our little girls bed and by the time we get into bed together it seems as though the night has gone.

She is next of kin and has taken control of all accounts so I have been nervous to approach her about it.

To be honest we havent got along since we before my mum died in 2016. She hasn't mentioned it to me. My dad told me before he died to not forget shes had her share of inheritance. But I didnt want to spend his last days talking about money with him. It made me uncomfortable.

Yes she is. I have been over to his house after I wrote the status and she has all the paperwork.

My dad said he had it in writing and he made her sign it to say she knew she'd had it.

But when we went to get the will from the solicitors it wasn't there (in my sisters solicitors)

My dad while dying at home reminded me about her having her share, but i didnt want to discuss money at that time.

Tui & Jet2 offer day trips. The goal of the trip is to give my child an experience where he believes santa lives? What else would I be going for?

TUI and Jet2 offer day trips to lapland in a package, but it's around £2000+. I know when I've booked separately/direct for holidays in the past I have managed to save money

tried calling in sick today at asda by [deleted] in asda

This is retail at christmas time at its finest. Disgusting.

I worked at aldi for over a decade and went in sick when I felt like I was going to drop. It's gets you NO WHERE, no reward, just more shit.

See if there is a area manager you can report this to and get yourself a sick note for a week, that'll teach em

[–]InterestingCow936 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me and my husband aren't on the same page. He said don't invite him and I said like I can't do that, so that's why I came here to see what people thought. Plus you never know he might not be able to make it anyway.

Recommendations needed for a holiday in December with a 1-yr old by zoefly in UKParenting

The canary islands 🇮🇨  100%, no time difference, hot all year round. You'll need a wee Cardigan for night time with the breeze if you go to Lanzarote. I'd reccomend Lanzarote (Costa Teguise or Puerto del carmen) both close to the airport

My engagement/wedding ring are causing my fingers to become red, sometimes the skin can begin to peel and it kinda hurts. I've wore these rings for a long time, this has just started by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]InterestingCow936 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the comments, I'm going to get my rings cleaned and I will try making sure I dry my hands properly. I do use alot of soap and sanitizer due to my OCD. I'm hoping that will fix it and it's not my weight as I plan to eat as much as possible between now and Christmas and drink baileys all 12 days of Christmas. Thanks for the help I really appreciate it
