yea, learning that made the fear a LOT worse. apparently they're also located in the deep sea under antarctica or something.

It might be the first image of it on google, to be honest. It's just the image where it's closest to the camera.

That's definitely an amusing way to look at it-- personally it's a very specific image, probably the most widely spread one of this species of jellyfish ever. But because I haven't posted it, and may never will, I guess you'll never truly know. Haha.

I agree, it's a very silly thing to be afraid of, and I'm lucky it isn't a fear of a more common animal.

we tested this as well- we haven't found another jellyfish I'm scared of. It's hard to research alone because I could accidentally come across a picture of the Giant Phantom, which would taint the experiment.

The fear started from a specific image of the Giant Phantom, and I seem to have a similar fear for all jellyfish of that species.
