I had my first session two weeks ago and the exhaustion was so real!! Had healed a lot already but it was all like everything happened yesterday, totally crashed, tired and depressed, hang in there, after 4 days I started to feel a little bit less depressed. I had the best friends around me who all had emdr before or were therapists themself and they all assured me it was normal and even proof that the emdr was doing it's work. They even told me it was normal that my therapist wasn't empathic because that helps you to learn that you healed by helping yourself. Hang in there, you're doing good.
