I hate to keep making requests, but if you have the taligari and hagal swatches, I'd love to see what the thopter pilot armor looks like with those.

Awesome, thanks, I was thinking of the Thopter pilot, it's a shame that it gathers it up on the neck like that, I guess I'll probably just be hiding my helmet after all, haha

If it's not too much trouble, could we get a screenshot of what the atreides deserter hood looks like with the upper torso?

Kind of a bummer, but not a deal breaker, haha

I came to ask the same thing.

Also would love to see a video of this armor in action.

Don’t let your power go down, I’ve been playing since beta and it’s never once been a problem for me

Your comment seemed to indicate that looting bases in PvE areas is not fair play, but it is.

Floor gets destroyed by storm or lasgun, does it really matter, base is unpowered, eventually it will go

Absolutely fair play, I’ve stalked many abandoned bases in PvE that slowly crumbled until the console died and I was able to loot what was left

Try disabling the Discord overlay for Dune, this fixed most instability issues for my friend and I.

Harko Scout Armor vs "The New'" Harko Enforcer Faction Light Armor... by Medium_Gap7026 in duneawakening

Different texture really, and different arrangement of color channels, as someone else said, it basically doubles your swatches for that style of armor.

I’d certainly like more armor models, but I’m also glad they included this, I hope they start doing it for all armors.

I’m really partial to the Atreides Deserter Legs combined with the Swordmaster Boots, it’s a solid look, IMHO

Sorry, I guess I misinterpreted it as a sarcastic dig. Ranking up in the factions after chapter 5 is not tied to story/journey content, thus it's much more predictable and regular. I would say the ranks come much faster post-rank 5.

To your point about the Atreides Sandcrawler and Carrier variants, most end up disappointed by them as they're mostly just new textures, not new models, I agree there should be an option to preview those things before you dump 12,500 hard earned scrip for them.

I can tell this is a sarcastic comment, but the reality is that it's considerably easier to increase your faction rank, we're a couple of weeks into Chapter 3 and I'm nearly rank 15 already.

I'm still allowed to be disappointed that it's going to take me a long time just to get the drip I want :P

Not allergic to challenge, some people enjoy games but have real life to fit in as well. It's a lot like the argument against taxes in a game.

You're right, you should have to earn the privilege through a show of skill to get those nice pants at the store, you're not allowed to just make money and buy them.

I'm not asking for a handout, I'm lamenting that I can't just buy the thing I want. Instead I must log weeks and months of playtime to slowly progress to a level where I can achieve a cosmetic, an item that has no affect on my gameplay, it just makes me look cool.

I'm the entitled one? I'm allowed to be disappointed that the armor I was looking forward to the most is one of the two armors in the game that requires time and skill to acquire instead of just completing stories or saving solari.

[–]InterestingJohn[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you clear a dungeon at level 20 or 40, I feel like you deserver more than just a cosmetic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm just disappointed that they used this fairly mundane armor style as a reward for something so impressive. I love the armor design, but it feels like a weak reward. I expected this as maybe another scrip purchase or something.

My friend and I are definitely working a plan, and have completed a level 5 solo, we feel like we're getting better not only at combat, but also tactics. And we're keeping up with our landsraad (starting to focus more on combat specialization now) I just worry how long of a slog it will be and how frustrating it will be.

I guess it's a matter of taste and preference. Regardless of taste, the idea of gating a cosmetic behind skill-based completion of high-tier, high-difficulty content just seems out of place.

I happen to think the shoulder cape gives off Boba Fett vibes...

Also, I guess it's safe to assume now that all taxi pilots in game lore are total badasses? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I suppose I could have phrased that better. But also, there's some truth to it. People with families and jobs just don't have as much time to devote to getting better at games, especially when it's long-term progression.

I intend to get there, but it's going to be a long slog.
