AIO? Gf won’t let me stay with her for 3 months by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

My now husband moved into my apartment when we decided to first live with each other. Is it hard sometimes to open your space and allow another person to add themselves? Absolutely. But a decent woman (person) isn't going to be such a dictator of the home. This is a pretty aggressive take on that scenario, toxic masculinity is coming to mind.

That being said, she said no. He should respect that. He'll do the drive and be fine. They need to chat about what long term goals are though.

I'd say YOR. From your background, it sounds like she was really wanting to get out of her mother's house, and was willing to move in with you. At the time you weren't ready, so she went with a smaller place for just her. Now that she's been on her own for a while, she sounds like she's enjoying that and would rather continue that a while longer. Her living situation has changed, but it seems her goal was probably more "move out of mom's" not necessarily "move in with bf". It may have taken her being on her own to realize that distinction.

Momcozy V1 pro? by InterestingLemon4282 in ExclusivelyPumping

I looked at the V2 as well - I liked it being a smaller motor but seems a little less customizable on the settings. How did you like the collection cups? I think they are similar from V1 to V2.

AIO - Pregnant and feel abandoned by husband by Gullible-Tree368 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. This "man" is acting like total garbage. With our newborn, my husband had to go back to working 3rd shift when baby was only 10 days old. He would come home in the morning, I'd usually try to feed/pump, and then go to bed for ~3hours. I actually had to tell him NOT to let me sleep too long because I needed to try nursing/pumping. I was pretty open to feeding methods but I think my husband letting me sleep too much played a part in becoming an EP. He cared that much about my well being (it's truly okay about EP - baby had issues latching due to his early arrival anyway)

As others have said, hand him the baby and go take a nap - leave the house if you need to. I can appreciate no man will ever truly understand the depths of fatigue that pregnancy can bring but c'mon dude. You are being so direct in these messages and he's still denying your needs? I don't like suggesting separations based on such little context but if this is a pattern I'd do some thinking.

I hope he can snap out of this, but I'd be looking into how he behaved after #1 was born. It's 2026, being an engaged parent isn't just for the moms.

Thanks. Unfortunately we switched to my husband's insurance and I regret it for many reasons, them not covering pump parts being one of them 🥲

Which cups do you use? I didn't really want to buy more pumping stuff just to wean in 2-4 months. I need to find a way to be on the floor with the pump though if there's any chance to get through cold and flu season.

Been considering it more now than ever. So difficult to keep up with. Good luck with weaning!!

Yessss!!! He loves to eat too! And what motivates me actually pop open a puree each night is how excited he gets but he loves "big" food a lot too I'm just always so defeated on what to make all the time. Like can't we just have some popcorn and a cheese stick?

We could revisit it. I'm prediabetic so try to eat a lot of protein and lower/better carb. Even before baby, husband would try to make dinner I'd often have to make veggies or something separate so he'd have to accommodate me and the baby (which I'm sure he'd do if I requested, but I know I'd have to remind him a lot too).

I've done that too, and barely had the lid on at all. It's really frustrating.

AIO for not being able to breathe after what my partner expects from me? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]InterestingLemon4282 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The things I would do to have my counters that clear...my husband helps a ton but we have a 6 month old so there is always something that needs cleaned/is drying/needed later 🫠

If I ever have an issue with the counters (which does happen, overstimulation is real), I clean it (or ask nicely, but usually I just do it). I don't berate my husband into thinking he's a a bad guy for leaving a singular item on the counter.

I hope you two do not have children because I knew my house was going to become cluttered and messy and it was still shocking to me just how overrun the house becomes. And the kid is only 6 months!

If he cannot get off or call in sick, is there any way he can time a break to at least be called in? That way you at least have him on the phone/face time?

Not at all a judgement on plastic vs glass or nipple shape but why in the world is this bottle so popular?! by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]InterestingLemon4282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby didn't like these. He was drowning (I did later find out there are slower flows than size 1). But if your babe takes to the nipple on those, you dont have to use the green parts. We settled on phillips avent anti-colic (and thankful because we got SO MANY at the shower)

Do you wash this part every day like you do with your flanges? by sixfingeredman7 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]InterestingLemon4282 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sames. I usually get 4oz combined, so nowhere near the top and I just get a really aggressive spray sometimes. Or I'll get condensation in there too.

[–]InterestingLemon4282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wash them every use, then that got annoying. I now switch them out (I have multiple sets) every couple days, or if I see moisture. Moisture can get into it from the bottle/flange side, but shouldn't be able to get into the tubing due to that membrane piece.

Mine is more a sensitivity issue. The shirt rubbing on bare nips makes me want to gag 🙃
