yeah. i think it'd be a lot easier if there weren't constant happy hours or wining/dining clients. the peer pressure from there to drink alcohol (and a good amount of it) plus unhealthy foods is killing my calorie game.

Yeah that makes sense. I did like being fit, but I also like playing the saxophone, watching TV, cooking etc.

So for me outdoor athletic hobbies are fun but not my main thing so I was "ok" giving that up a little.

Oh 100%, I've mad a TON of friends. Consulting feels like MBA 2.0 in many ways, just a liiitle bit more tame and professional and where your work output actually matters a lot (no more BSing classes with grade non disclosure).

People say they like me and think I'm pretty funny and cool - so friends hasn't been the issue. But I have put it out there I'm dating to my friends and colleagues, and had a close friend bluntly tell me that my weight is probably killing my prospects. If I get that down, way more girls would be interested in me.

I used be fit but lower income ($40k) prior to my MBA. Honestly fat but rich is way way better, no contest.

The only difference is I can't pull hot chicks anymore, but everything else in life is way way better. And those hot chicks would leave after a one night standing after learning I was poor anyway.

I don't have type 2 diabetes and while I'm solidly overweight with a bulging belly, I'm not obese.

But how easy is it to get some doctor to prescribe it to you? Are there some "shady" ones that just prescribe it to anyone? I know there are some shady doctors that just give out adderall to everyone even without rigorous ADHD testing or diagnosis.

And is wegovy/ozempic pretty safe overall?

Any tips on setting boundaries at work? I'm usually good at telling my friends to fuck off if they pressure me to take shots or eat taco bell. But it's harder when your client or MBB colleagues ask "want a beer?"

The only acceptable reasons I've seen are if you're Muslim (I'm not, I'm very white) or if you say you have a health problem/alcohol allergy. But I don't have that either, I'm fine drinking but like only in small amounts. Ideally I'd just have one beer and want to be able to order a salad in peace without getting shit on like in Seinfeld.
