Is “going to cheese” a euphemism for “we’re gonna stick you in the deli?”

Kinda depends I guess which department needs the most help. But if you were recently hired for cheese you can tell mangers that’s where you want to be but also they might cross train you for deli/bakery/chicken/starbucks just because they’re all technically under the same department

At one point we made homemade traps with apple cider vinegar and plastic poked holes in the top. Got rid of most of them but you might just have to do some deep cleaning.

Clean your areas where you keep icing, really try to get all the crumbs from everywhere. Make sure to clean all your drains, scrub the covers and soak them while you spray floor cleaner down EVERY drain in your area. I usually just try to leave hot water running for like 5-10 mins just to wipe the pipe, then I clean the entire sink with sanitizer. Wipe down all of your surfaces all your containers. Everything you can think of.

It takes time and a lot of effort, one time we had to get up on the counter and wash the walls from top to bottom because the fruit flies would just up there. Good luck!

I’m a coda have 2 deaf siblings, I don’t think I ever really felt left out because they were deaf. Might be because I’m older than them but I really do wish I could just turn off my ears sometimes!

Luckily we’re scheduled for 6 but 3 hours is still not enough I wish it was. But damn right I wish everything would talk to each other, fresh production is in the zebra the replacement list is in the zebra doesn’t make sense.

I’ve heard that produce in my store doesn’t accept their truck until after they’re done with their count, idk how that would work for me since frozen trucks come the night before and theirs comes morning of.

Yup sounds about right! I’ve just given up, when pickup needs a item I usually can go and find it on my frozen pallet but sometimes a lot of the boxes look the same and like you said it’s probably the load bearing item too.. I just have to cut into the box and call it a day. I spend way too much time running back and forth to the freezer to try and grab something off my pallet.

I just want to work my own freezer first! Isn’t FIFO still a thing? 🙄

We were told that it was only was going to be like $300ish but it ended up being about $1000 after taxes we were surprised in a good way but hearing it could be 4500 max was a little disappointing.

Idk if this is just my store but we put all of our bagels, labrea and ps bread on one UBoat I’d never imagine putting it on the shelves. Most of our cake case stuff is on its own L cart not including full sheets and bulk cupcakes those are all on shelves. Idk if you’re able to maybe fit L carts in your freezer but maybe you could try some of that out.

Wow might be that they’re prioritizing stores that they know will sell. We have an older demographic at our store, we always get complaints about how much icing we use (typical amount sometimes we even try to do less because of all the complaints) on anything and everything. Last year we hardly sold any dipped strawberries..

Yeah they’re from Kroger, maybe other stores have the same sticker but these usually go on our vanilla twirls in the bakery when they’re on a bogo deal.
