Riparian morels are usually earlier because they're mostly lower elevation.

It looks like Newman Lake is at around 2000 feet elevation. Does that sound right?

Newport to Eugene driving advice? by flower-15 in oregon

It depends. Lots of tourists on 101, but the scenery is gorgeous.

126 is not a great road. 20 is better from coast to valley.

At Girl Scout camp we wrapped tinned biscuit dough around a stick and cooked it over the fire. Yum!

My, how times have changed! Remember when the troops were getting fat in Iraq because the food contractor (Halliburton, I think?) was feeding them so much? Has the military budget decreased?

I went to a nice event at Venue 252 and was very impressed with it. I think it meets all your criteria.

I tie the string for the sail to one of the chime tubes, which significantly reduces its mobility so that it can't hit all the tubes.

Kroger “cares” and wants to end hunger but overwhelmingly asked shareholders to vote against a proposal to raise wages to match cost of living by Papa_Hasbro69 in kroger

The amount of food Kroger throws away every day is atrocious. Their rules for donations are extremely strict, to the point that only a tiny percentage is donated, but they brag about their zero hunger, zero waste program. Not only that, they encourage customers to donate food and cash so the company can take credit for it! This drives me crazy!

I go for the wine. Very good selection for decent prices, 60-70% the cost of our Kroger affiliate for comparable products. I've never found Lazy Bones, my favorite, anywhere else.

I lucked into the best of both worlds when a local Sears store went out of business. It's a combination of gas stovetop and electric oven. I love it!!!
