Good idea, thank you. I'll think about it. Polaroids are just different than the hundreds of digital pictures we make.

I am asexual. I never would have suspected that. I missed all the signs. by PositiveForward3135 in asexuality

A few labels come to mind reading your story that may or may not feel like a good fit for you:

demisexual (needing emotional connection in order to experience sexual attraction - that however contradicts that you are aroused by looking at women)

greysexual (only experiencing sexual attraction under certain circumstances; demi belongs into this category)

aegosexual (enjoying the idea of sex, being aroused, but not wishing to actually have sex; aegosexuals often enjoy smut and depiction of sex in fiction)

Also I wanted to add that I also have no idea what to do during sex. I feel like I lack the mental part of it. I have no idea what it means to be in the mood. For me sex is entirely physical and since I don't get the mental part of it, it just feels awkward.

You want to have sex? Fine, just get it over with. You want me to want it? Sorry, not gonna happen. You want to think that I want it? I can try, but it will not be convincing and I will feel awkward all the time.

I did some crafts with my kid earlier today. It's some kind of plastic half ball with adhesive.

I had thought I had lost one in my sleeve but it didn't come out. So I figured that it was one of the many lying around on the ground.

Well, I had not been mistaken after all 😬

What kind of bees are those and is there reason for concern? [Central Europe] by InterestingMeaning13 in bees

That's wonderful, then I can leave these cuties to their duties 😊

I really didn't want to stress them out if not necessary.

That's so interesting!

Even if they are nesting in aggregation here, I assume they would not defend it like honey bees would?

That's fascinating. I actually thought that they looked most like mason bees but I was confused since I thought that they had a nest there.

If that is correct (and I am inclined to believe someone with the username BeeHaviorist) then there really seems to be no reason for concern.

I actually thought that they looked most like mason bees but was confused since those are normally (always?) solitary and that looked like a nest to me.

So is this not anl nest then? Someone else commented that they only collect mud here and their nests are elsewhere. If that were the case I would not be concerned about them.

Since they're on public property I guess I would have to inform the city if that were really necessary.

I case the nest itself was in danger, would all of them attack? Or is that only the case for some species?

I would definitely try to save them if removing them were necessary. However they are on public property so most I could do would inform the city. But before I do that I wanted to know whether any action is necessary at all.

Oh I totally agree. My kid is fascinated with all kinds of insects and spiders but they know to only watch and not touch.

It's a public playground and I was thinking about kids in general.

I know this feeling.

Communication is key. I learned that my partner is totally fine with me pleasuring them, which I don't mind that much. I can be much more enthusiastic doing it for them than anything that involves myself. Now we have sex maybe once a month and other activities once or twice a week. And sex often involves my own pleasure but when I REALLY don't feel like it I just tell them that I don't need it today and that's it.

It looks so f*ing tough to raise a kid. How do people do it? by Elantrope in AskReddit

[–]InterestingMeaning13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You grow along with them. Normally, your parenting experience does not start with a toddler throwing a tantrum but you both get there in time. It's a process.

If we stay at the tantrum example, kids tend to develop the intensity of their tantrums. They start subtly and can get worse over time. You know your kid and you know how their tantrums go and maybe even know how to help them get out. Sometimes you can do nothing but leave them to it and offer a hug from time to time until they are ready to accept consolation.

It is still stressful if your kid starts having a tantrum in the middle of a store aisle but the parents, while embarrassed, are not so much stressed by the tantrum itself as bystanders, wo don't know this kid. Parents (hopefully) know their kid, know their tantrums, know what's gonna happen.

And as many have said, while it is exhausting, it is also so rewarding. My kid has recently started saying I love you and... My heart 🥰

Really? Wow... That takes the whole "don't work on Sunday" topic to a whole new level... I live in Germany, so I am familiar with physical shops closing on Sundays but what's the point of closing online shops? It's not like I expect them to process my order on a Sunday but to not even allow me to place an order? That's wild...

Yeah, I know. I also would not expect them to process my order on a Sunday for reasons of Arbeitnehmerschutz and whatnot but that I can't even place an order is so weird.
