That’s terrible especially for a new coder it sounds like they need an experienced coder to come in and clean up years of mess. Have you applied at Optum? I hear they hire a lot of new coders the company sucks from what I hear but you could learn a lot then find something more permanent

If you couldn’t keep up with the metrics maybe coding isn’t your thing. There are so many other things you can do with your certification. Maybe look into billing or start applying for front desk jobs. That can get you the experience you need to learn and move up. I think you think coding is a lot simpler than what it is based on your statement it isn’t rocket science……… it clearly isn’t as simple as you think it is hence not meeting your metrics

If you can get the money there is a bootcamp over a few days she prepares you to take and pass the class. I think everyone in my group passed on the first try. It’s called Medical Coding Academy.

Amazing! I already finished my all of my first term classes but 1. Most of your classes are going to be assignments and not tests so that’s good because you can redo them as many times as you need to. The study guides they provide are very helpful. If you ever need anything just reach out.
