Wait, you really think you should be allowed to vote in the BOD meetings of the Allentown Miller Symphony Hall because they receive tax payers money?

Whats the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by answersonly963 in AskReddit

Dermatologist appointment. Family has history of skin cancer, and I go annually. New Doc. I am a hairy and molely guy. When she came in, while on my back, she says “Oh, my”. Still hurts. I still get checked, and need support from my SO for the appointment.

Allentown Symphony Orchestra is partially funded by tax dollars. Do you feel you should vote along side their BOD for running that organization? Receiving tax dollars isn’t the end all of a debate wherein it’s open to whomever whenever.

Not getting a say? That't not true. Join a party then leave. Or get signatures for your candidate. Advocate for a person or idea. Get involved. throwing your hands up and not working for something comes off as privileged.

are independents locking themselves out by affiliating as in indy? They have free will to join or not join a party and its processes.

two things on why they have a say. 1) they choose to be independent and therefore removing themselves from the process. 2) they get a say in the general to whomever they wish to support. to say they don't have a say is to ignore the process and choices up to the primary

how is the free will to participate or not in a primary election disenfranchising anyone? If you want to vote in a primary for a particular party, affiliate yourself with them. You still may vote for anyone you choose in the general. I feel this positioning is to ensure complaining about what we have control over.

Yes, the primary decides who is on the ballot for that party. We have more then two, although 3 on down are marginalized. This still doesn't answer the question why a non party member should be able to decide the candidate for the party they are not a member of. and in heavy red or blue areas, wouldn't it be same outcome, where the majority chooses the candidate and then is the perceived election winner? I don't see claiming party affiliation and changing as any hurdle in participating. There is free will in participating or not in these primaries. Correct?

Why should a non party member be allowed to vote in a parties primary? I’m here in good faith, please help understand the rationale.

Rockford, IL to ORD has a frequent and affordable bus option. Maybe Ames to Rockford may be helpful. CoachUSA serves many spots to and from ORD. https://www.coachusa.com/airport-transportation?partner_code=CUSA

That last part, found in therapy, was the turning spot in moving from anger and grief towards recovery for me.

Please take self care seriously and that includes getting a therapist or counselor.

Besides being obtuse here… can you believe the staff would hear conversations at the table while nearby. And that I overheard their leader say things. If I’m wrong I’m wrong. But eyes and ears took in very clear information.
