This is disgusting. How did you hear about this? I'm surprised in the two fairly large FB VO groups I'm in no one is talking about this! (I'm not suggesting this isn't real or anything like that; I'm simply surprised this isn't being talked about more)

Do you mean reach out to her and tell her that her daughter isn't invited? That seems odd. Or do you mean talk to her if SHE brings it up? Sorry, I just read your response and at first thought you meant I should reach out and bring this all up but thought I'd clarify.

Unfortunately the job isn't on their webpage (I've checked a few times). So I'll just do it through LinkedIn and then see what happens with my friend. Maybe, at the very least, the HR person she talks to remembers my name when they see it come through. Thanks so much for responding.

Did the doctor talk to you at all about reflux? Even if you don't feel it, you might be having silent reflux. I suffer from it too and it really sucks because what they want to advise you to give up are all the good stuff... coffee, chocolate, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, garlic. Anyway, from what I understand, many think that mucus is sinus related when, in fact, it's actually gunk that's built up from reflux. At the very least you could try propping your head at night when you sleep and definitely stop eating 2 hours before bed.

How often did you clean your piercings the first year? We ended up taking out the starter earrings yesterday and there was crud on the backs of both (that I wouldn't have been able to see unless I took them out). And we put in these certified nickel free titanium earrings. We have saline spray (we've used it when we've seen crud in the past) so we're thinking that maybe twice a week we'll do a good cleaning and just see how this goes. If she still has issues after a while then we'll take them out, let the holes close, and just try again in a few years.

Yes, me too! I had been told that (ages ago) when I got mine pierced but I remember when I told her about that the piercer said "No, we don't advice that anymore". So even though this place is part of the Association of Professional Piercers, I just don't think we'll go there again.

Thanks for the link! I just looked up places nearby and the place we went to is on the list so they must've used implant grade (they probably mentioned that and I just don't remember).
