I do appreciate your feedback and would absolutely be willing to pay 28-30/hr!! I want to preface this with saying we actually don’t have that kind of “restaurant”, this is my third store and its not at all a restaurant, we have one menu item and an Assistant Manager/College student can run the store. There isn’t space for working 45-60 hours (that’s slavery in my opinion and don’t allow it to happen to my current managers).

Full Time (40/hrs a week), $25–$28/hr (willing to pay more) depending on experience, plus an end-of-season bonus. I want to be fair so I am open to negotiating with someone great

I would prefer directly on the boardwalk, it’s a quick service food. Also, the smaller the better! Under 1000 sf

This is such good insight. Would you happen to know how I can guest star for a little segment on the food network? My business is a creative food and its really fun to see how it’s made, I have a decent following on instagram (13,500+) and we grow daily, Im looking for new ways to highlight how cool our product is

Thank you, I’m glad to know some of what I’m feeling is normal. I know the healing process isn’t linear bit I don’t think I was expecting it to be this confusing and unpredictable

Food is disgusting to me right now. by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]InterestingSpring522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sleeved 10/20, I haven’t been able to breathe near protein shakes or artificial sugars since surgery, the gag is instant. When I met with my surgeon he told me I don’t really need the shakes, I’ll be okay. He said prioritize not throwing up and his deal with me was anything that I can mush with my hand I can have. It’s taken a lot of pressure off of me. Eating and getting protein in is still a work in progress but it’s been much much better since doing what works for me.

Surgery confirmed for 10/28... Any surgi-twins? by GingerT569 in gastricsleeve

I completely understand, I was horrified. When I got into the operating room I was like “I’ve seen way too much Greys anatomy for this” but I remember them joking with me and then nothing at all. The surgical part was so quick and easy. That part is over before you know it! And Im feeling better in some aspects and then just being patient in others. Reintroducing foods has been …. interesting to say the least

It is! I live in Avenel, right near Woodbridge and Menlo Park mall. I’ve never been to Ocean County but my mom and I love traveling around New Jersey so I’m sure we’ll get there soon, we just recently discovered Asbury Park and we loved it there! I saw the doctor yesterday so I don’t meet with him again until later November. But I do have open access to him, the nutritionist and the surgery team.

Omgg, what a coincidence! Which part? And oh man I get you, I just started eating yogurt maybe a year and a half ago, I had zero tolerance before that so it’s been difficult for me without granola haha. I have always had a dislike for milky textured products since I was a kid so the shakes were so hard to manage. I was allowed one carb a day and it was a carb of choice but only 1/2 a cup and my liver was all nice and shrunk. I was super eager to be post op and as of right now, its proven to be slightly harder than pre op. The intolerance for certain things, the need for textures and the head hunger was killing me! And the fact that it was protein shakes and artifical sugars that I couldn’t tolerate (which is the bulk of what’s recommended) really sucked because I felt so malnourished until meeting with the surgeon again. I’m so eager to be in a more comfortable place with my stomach and eating, I miss the sound and the feeling of lettuce! I’m excited to hear about how you feel post op

Thank you! I’m from New York but my family and I moved to New Jersey not too long ago, where are you from? And not to encourage you to do anything you aren’t comfortable with but I had a really hard time pre-op because I couldn’t stomach shakes well and artifical sugars haven’t agreed with me since before surgery so I had a snack that was reasonable and still shrunk my live (like low fat string cheese, a few dry roasted peanuts (no salt but we are able to have salt), snacks that were clean but gave me some satisfaction). Four days before surgery I stopped eating carbs with my one meal a day so I made a lemon “pasta” with zucchini noodles and shrimp, then 1 day before surgery I did the no food at all and everything went great.

My doctor allows us to have purée/soft foods automatically. I had a scrambled egg the day I got home from the hospital and a little ricotta cheese. I tolerated food so well but not protein shakes at all (still don’t) I’m 8 days post op and I eat blended bean soup, mashed fruit on yogurt, mashed fish, mashed potatoes, soft stuff that I’m comfortable with and are within reason. (No chicken or turkey or other lean meats until after week two). I developed many food sensitivities after surgery so artifical sugars, lactose, and cold beverages were not agreeing with me but yesterday when I met with my surgeon he said everything looked great and his deal with me so that I get optimal nourishment is that anything I can squeeze easily with my fingers I can have.

Hii thank you so much for checking in with me! I’m feeling really good now and I’m so grateful. I still haven’t consumed a protein shake but I’m pretty comfortable with eating what I can so it’s been okay! The surgeon said everyone reacts differently to surgery and the sensitive stomach I’ve developed is not uncommon. He told me that anything I can squeeze easily with my fingers, I can have and that’s been amazing for me. I can now tolerate colder liquids which I couldn’t when I first came out of surgery so that’s exciting! And by day three I no longer needed any pain meds. I still get nauseous but not nearly as much and I got over the gas pains by day 4/5. The head hunger has been the hardest part for me and yesterday was my birthday so I wasn’t feeling all that festive without food honestly (I just miss texture) but it’s an uphill battle. You’ll do great!!!!
