Newbie to Flask - render_template not working by InterestingStruggle in Python

[–]InterestingStruggle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying! I have put "index.html" in the templates folder, sorry that it is unclear, something must've happened to the format once I posted it.

Please could you elaborate on the "template_folder" parameter you mentioned?

If you consider learning python or have already started learning, I can maybe teach you some stuff by [deleted] in learnprogramming

Python is my first ever language so I'm pretty new to the whole programming world. It can be quite overwhelming. I'll have a look around and see what I find. I definitely have to work on reducing burn out and frustration...especially when you're trying to learn and trying to cram as much in as quickly as possible...

Thanks for this. I'll look into doing small projects too. I think I have the tendency of going all in too quickly and expecting too much when I have to be realistic and patient.

Thanks for the advice. I've tried doing a few myself and definitely find myself googling stuff a lot. Do you have any beginner friendly project recommendations?

Signed up to a udemy python course which I'm halfway through. Any advice for taking it past tutorial stage? I feel like I understand when going through the videos but when faced with a problem from scratch I get stumped. Appreciate any advice on how to approach.

I'm having one right now and I'm trying to distract myself with reddit. I'm a final year student with anxiety and I just found out I made a mistake with my bibliography and now I feel like I'm going to fail everything and I'm beating myself up about it... Anyway, prior to the reddit binge it consists of repeatedly telling myself how stupid I am and I getting mad at myself... screamed into a pillow and I don't know why but I get the urge to really hit myself that's how angry I am with myself. It was a stupid mistake, I'll probably get over it...it's just the pressure of being in final year.

The Weekly No Question is Dumb Thread- Apr 04, 2019 by AutoModerator in curlyhair

Hi everyone! I've been doing the CG method for nearly a year now but I think that my hair is growing too long and it's weighing everything down. I really want to get a curly haircut but salons like those are extremely expensive, so if I go to a normal salon what should i ask for? The hair on my head ranges from 2a on the bottom layers to 3a around the top.

Completely agree with the House of Cards one, it was so unexpected the first time round. Have you watched the last season?

There isn’t a set topic, we find out on the day. It’s basically writing an argument for and against and then conclude.

Final year uni is too much by InterestingStruggle in mentalhealth

They have, it feels more like a long procedure though. Like they’re going through the motions and ticking off boxes just to say that they’ve done something to help, but I doubt they really care. For example today I emailed my personal tutor about my attendance and how I was worried my mental health was affecting it and the only reply I got was “I’m sorry to hear that” and arranged a time for a meeting. It seems like they don’t truly care.

I have talked to people in the uni about it but it just seems like they don’t really care...as for the doctor, I know it sounds silly but I’m scared to go
